Very good modern golf course

Very pleasantly surprised by this modern golf course. After al the snow recently, the course clearly drains well. There are several very well designed and challenging holes, in particular the 4th. Well worth a play. One downside was being put out behind a senior match who took the best part of 5 hours. Check before you play!

18 mats and 18 temporary greens. Do I need to say more!

Weston Turville is a typical example of a late 20th century golf course built on unsuitable land. The course was waterlogged and should not have been open. The really frustrating thing was that there was no warning on their website that there were 18 mats and 18 temporary greens. If you want to play here bring your wellies.

Hilly, wet but fun

You would be very fit if you played here every week. Both nines go up the hill twice. The course is struggling with the winter weather and is very wet in places which the designer has tried to eleviate with a lot of rut and furrowing on the fairways. However, a lot of imagination has gone into the design and layout and it's a lot of fun to play.

Much better than expected

My expectations, based on the cheapness of the green fee was low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The course is typically parkland and so, suffers in winter but there are some well designed and challenging holes. Well worth a play, especially if you are still learning the game.

TCL Urgently Required

The River Club is one of the best layouts in the area but its not being looked after. The teeing areas are scruffy. The fairways are patchy. The greens are in terrible condition with pitch marks everywhere.

Typical Resort Course

Slow greens, average layout in reasonable condition. Nothing really to dislike but nothing memorable either. Eminently forgettable.

Very good, will play again and again

What a contrast to it's sister course at Bent tree. Great welcome in the Pro shop and by the starter. Well organised and on time. Course is well designed and a good test. Not immaculately kept but the wildlife more than made up for this. Alligators, deer, falcon, raccoons and birdies. Loved it.

Best of the best

Fourth time we have played Uni Park over the last 4 years and it never disappoints. Five star rating is justified with a great layout that can test every level with a variety of tees from under 6000 to over 7000 yards. The fairways are immaculately prepared. The Greens are good but not overly quick. The customer service is first class. A drink in the 19th afterwards is expensive but has to be done. Can't wait to play again.

Typical Modern Championship Course

Found the front 9 a little bland. The 3 par 5's were very much the same. Course in very good condition, very slipping greens, fast and true. The back 9 is much more interesting and varied. Well worth a play.
