Not worth the hype

This is a good course, but not worth the hype of being one of the best in Scottsdale. Bag boys were rude, but the course Marshal was great. Pro Shop staff was very professional.

I'll play it again

I will play this course again. I had heard about Trilogy, through the reviews about the restaurant- V's taproom. A friend and I arrived early for our tee-time and we were greeted by the bag staff and pro shop staff and were given a quick introduction on the pin placements, course condition, and the name of the beverage cart girl-- friendliness was a top rating. I'm a low handicapper and hit the ball long. This course has overall good conditions, with nice rolling fairways, tons of blind shots, dog legs, etc. The front nine was in fair shape, but the back nine got my attention. It was plush, the greens were fast and true, and fairways modestly tight, long par 4's. A good golfer can shoot low on this course, even from the back tees but the back nine made the day for me. The restaurant staff was very friendly and the food is delicious. The outside deck/patio over looks the 18th green and makes for a great view and gallery watching the players finish their round. I thought the green fees were a bit expensive for the course. I compare this to the rates I got at Los Caballeros and Wigwam Gold--both much better courses in better condition. But, the course does have a ton of potential and if you play it with the right friend or group, it will make for a great day. I will play it again.

worth the drive

Great value for the money. Played 18 holes with a friend last Saturday and we will be back! It's a bit cooler with the elevation as well. The course was in great shape and the staff friendly. A good range, and practice area. The restaurant is the only thing I didn't like:super small portions, expensive, and not much on the menu. Restaurant staff was young and clueless as well.
