Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 12/30/2022Not quality
Insanely windy and every shot requires club up 2-3 clubs with wind and only couple T shots are down wind. Cold entire 18, very patchy greens, fairways, in rough areas, and bunkers are virtually mud. Nowhere near worth the almost $100 fee if looking for a consistent quality course. Layout is good but that’s not what an even everage handicap player cares about. I will most definitely never return to play this goat track unless fees drop under $50
Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 12/29/2022Below average
Unless the price goes under $50 this course offers nothing but a below average experience. T boxes, fairways, GREENS, and the rough we’re all patchy with bare spots crab grass and areas that could be kept up with the slightest effort or treatment. It often requires clubbing up multiple clubs due to extreme usual windy conditions. The practice area is worse than the course. I will not return and would not recommend wasting $90 on this goat track !!!
Westport Golf Course
Played On 11/27/2020Definition of dreadful
My rating for this course would be a solid one star rating. This lone positive comes from a half star for greens rolling pretty true and another half goes to the cart and it’s ability to allow me to complete 18 holes.
The T boxes are worst I’ve ever hit from regardless the club selection or the use of a T, they don’t manufacture T’s long enough to actually T it up except in the bare dirt areas which are everywhere.
The fairways, there aren’t fairways, just more bare dirt and patchy fluff for grass. Bunkers do have rakes, but be ready for some manual labor. Worst of all, we routinely lost balls due to the leaf factory in and just off every fairway 1-18. It seems instead of removing leaves they collected as many as they could and scattered them everywhere. Pot holes can be seen throughout the courses cart paths. And lastly, a sign said the pin placement is 3 which is next to hole 10 without describing where that spot might be located on any given hole.
Unfortunately, we paid $45 for a course that has decent layout but zero signs of a care for necessary maintenance.
I’ll return if under $10 and they supply the 30 balls that will be lost on quality shots.
Hawk's Landing Golf Course
Played On 11/14/2020Beginner course
Greens, fairways, and bunkers are in plus shape especially the greens. Only 12 holes which makes 13-18 dreadfully slow as you restart on 1. I will not play again but if novice golfer that doesn’t hit it long or straight it’s ideal. I didn’t need half my irons.
Cimarron Golf Club - Boulder Course
Played On 11/09/2020Boulder
Avid golfer with high expectations. Excellent practice facilities. Course in very good shape.. greens roll true and will be near perfect with few more days of water and sun from seeding recently. Overall conditions were beyond worth the $60 I paid on gold now for a noon t-time. Absolutely will return.
Oyster Reef Golf Course
Played On 04/04/2020Excellent condition
I had concerns prior to deciding to play with the virus situation. Those concerns were forgotten immediately upon arrival as necessary steps were taken to allow their guests to play free and easy.
The course, all aspects, are in great shape. Everyone had own cart. Greens are in great shape, T boxes and fairways healthy and beautiful. Bunkers are sort of out of play due to making things safe as there aren’t rakes. Plan ahead and bring your own water and I’d suggest suggest some bug spray
The Fort Golf Resort
Played On 09/09/2014Greens and bunkers
Course is quite nice and had some spectacular views. Pace of play was good.
The bunkers were not level or recently raked and the greens have great potential if not for so many divot marks.
