Red at D. Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course
Played On 08/16/2021Extremely Slow pace
There was no ranger. There were two young boys ahead of us who were practicing. They went from a half a hole behind those ahead of them to almost 2 holes. We finally skipped a hole and played behind the people who were well ahead. We soon caught up with them. At the turn it appeared that the threesome ahead of us were not going on, so we went to tee off, only to have them then appear, so we backed off. After they finally teed off, we asked if they would mind if we skipped this hole, and they agreed ok. We then played the back nine with no waiting at any hole. Had there been a ranger this probably would not have happened. Otherwise,NA beautiful day for golf!

Hadn’t played here in quite a while and it was a very pleasant surprise!
Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Ridge Course
Played On 07/24/2019Disappointed
Used to love this course.....something has happened......staff was generally not concerned about helping you...we had called to be sure that there was handicapped concessions made to course, and when we got there were told it was cart path only for all....I paid for 18 holes, and barely made it around 9. The course was not as well kept as in the past.
The cocktail lounge for post game libation has been moved out of the main building to adjacent to the snack hut, and is not designed for congeniality...and the main building is now off limits!
I will be hard pressed to ever play the course again.
Gambler Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2018Disappointed at best!
The grounds were poorly maintained....but worst of all, there were children playing soccer on the course, with holes hollowed out and cemented inside for these games.....on the course! Children should be enthusiastic when they play a game, but not, when they are following and in front of golfers on a course! I have never seen anything like it and will surely not play this course again. When the ranger was asked if the children had ever been taught manners for a golf course...he had no idea! However, he stayed with them for two holes to try to convey golf manners to them...there was great improvement..we commend him for his efforts! Having played with a regular Wednesday player on the course, who had never experienced the soccer groups, he was dismayed at best. The idea of combining golf with children’s soccer is at best a stretch! They would come up right behind us at the tee chatting.....I stopped playing four holes. If for whatever reason this course needs to continue this relationship for children to play soccer, I do hope they train them in the proper etiquette of a golf course...may be, just maybe, then it could work.

This was a great course on which to warm up after not playing for awhile. Staff is stellar!
Gambler Ridge Golf Club
Played On 07/26/2017Slooooow
Play time was extremely slow.....and at the turn, a twosome who had stopped for a sit down lunch, cut in to finish....and they were even slower than the foursome that had been ahead of us.....no rangers appeared to my knowledge.....had to use cart path or rough, due to rain, which slowed things even more.....but pace could have been moved along. Staff was great.
