Unknown. Shouldn't be.

Without a sign on the very near A road,, I drove past and had to turn back at Welshpool.. This was hardly a hardship, but seemed symbolic, as this little gem was unknown to me until it came up on Golf Now. A super course, interesting and very well-maintained,. A 9 holer which, unbelievably, proved more challenging than the more vaunted Llanymynech just 10 miles North which II'd played a week ago., It looked as if they might be planning an island green in the lake on the 9th / 18th, and I hope so, Friendly staff and golfers helped, and heard several recommendations for the restaurant. Next time we shall find out.

As usual, a cracking experience

Friendly and helpful pro, interesting course with some variation, crossing Wye river and back is part of the appeal. It's been a while. Missed it, and back soon.

2 countries, 5 counties and 18 great holes

Views dominate the title, and the commanding viewpoints are alone worth the trip.. but teeiing off in Wales on the 4th and putting out in England is a thrill rather than an error placement. The 3 holes in England are followed by a Croeso i Gymru sign on the course welcoming you back. A pristine course, very amenable staff and fellow golfers made a very pleasant afternoon. There are a few points where signage to the next tee could be better, but the golf was worth it for sure. I'll be back to put my card next to that of the course record holder in the club house, a 6 under par by a certain Mr Woosnam. I won"t, but will return.

Great experience

Our first time at this parkland course. Good value for a summer Sunday mid-morning. Bonus of great views of the Channel at times. While not the most imaginative ever, restricted views and some fairly steep ups and downs enhance the challenge on this shortish 18 holer which does get easier as the round progresses. First 9 features a few narrow passages to greens. Back 9 seems to have more uphills than downs, so today I know I've had a walk. The only slight issue was that for the uninitiated it wasn't always easy to find the next tee. Friendly staff, booking easy made this a highly-recommended experience, and we'll definitely come again..
