Mattawang Golf Club
Played On 07/07/2022Great afternoon of golfing
Cloudy, breezy 330pm tee and nobody in front of us..I'm glad the Hot Deal brought us out. The only issue was the lack of rain that dried up the rough. But considering my game, that only made the day even better. Tees, fairways, 1st cut and greens are just fine.

We're visiting from NJ and keep reading all of the complaints about course conditions on GN around Daytona. They're spot on. I'd love to play this course in a few weeks when it grows in. It should be beautiful. Until then it's still a good round of golf but expect sparse grass in spots. It's really like playing in NJ this time of year except I'm not freezing.
Thank you for your kind review! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for an improved 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Hidden Hills Golf Course.
Beekman Country Club - Highland/Valley

Played Taconic and Highland in the p.m. We seemed to wait on every shot but still finished in 4 hours. Looked dry but didn't play like it. Overall in good shape considering the play it gets. Generous fairways. Seemed to play longer for some reason. The greens are it's best defense. Subtle breaks you cannot see unless you've played before. Restaurant also worth a stop. Standard fare in good portions and good value, served hot. Nice selection of beers on tap.

Nice course that could be a gem with more maintenance. Surprisingly hard and dry 5 days after Fay but the greens were receptive. No blind shots and very walk-able. No rangers out to speed up late afternoon play. Patio open to wash down the round with a cold draft. I'll be back, after it rains.
Thank you for your review! We have afternoon rangers that should be managing pace of play. I will address that. Thanks!
Edgewood in the Pines

I haven't played this course in decades when in was immaculate. Now it's average. It needs TLC. The greens were great. The bunkers need to be maintained better, speaking first hand as I was in them all day; manually care for the parts not reachable by machine and remove rocks. The fairways and tees are being taken over by clover and other weeds to the point of being hard to differentiate with rough. Kidneys beware..cart paths are worn and there are lots of potholes in the fairways. I realize the wet weather may be the main cause, but the general lack of maintenance suggests otherwise. There are other choices in the area for basically the same fees. I hope they work it out as the layout is great.
Hi. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Edgewood in the Pines. We hope to see you again in the future.
Thanks for making the trip from Cranford! Glad you enjoyed the round.
