Course in great conditions

Played this course back in 2016 primarily to see Chubbs the Gator. Didn't see him then or this time. Course seems to have gotten better. Seemed a little rough around the edges in 2016 but smoothed out since. The greens are smooth and true. Was well worth the 1.5 hour drive.

Course not for the faint of heart, lungs, or circulation

The LPGA Int'l Jones Course is in pristine condition. It's a well laid out course with manicured tee boxes, fairways, & greens. But like most resort courses, the walk from cart path to green is so long and to top it off, It's not a well drained course so since their was rain the night before, they made it cart path only. What a horrendous round now, Walking over hills to center of fairway & back to cart. Having COPD, I was short of breat upon arriving to the ball. I emplore, this is not a course to play when it's cart path only if you have heart or lung issues..It;s a good thing it was a Golfnow hot deal that I used promo codes for.

Play it while you can through Golfnow

This is a well maintained, but not an immaculate private course. Recently joined Golfnow community, but from what I gather, won't be much longer. Nice to be able to say I've played it. Set in subdivision setting. Is an older course w/ an older clubhouse. Has a driving/chipping range across the street. Can't hit more than 200 yards on driving range. Large practice putting green in front of clubhouse. Proshop not well stocked, no logo caps on the day I played. Cart paths only on the day I played because of heavy rains the day before. Most tee boxes in decent shape. Fairways pretty thick. Most greens elevated & rolling true & fairly fast. Nice layout all in all but didn't like layout of 16th hole.

ReUnion Resort Watson Course

1:12 tee time w/ buddies. This is a typical immaculate resort course. Has spectacular views from tee boxes. Has elevation chages. Greens elevated, rolling true & fast. Expensive but had a fun round. Group Golfer offered this course for $59 so I snatched it up because only way I know of how to play ReUnion courses involves booking lodging on their premesis. At least I can say I've played it. Pro shop well stocked. Has great practice areas, range, chipping & putting greens.

FKA Bramble Ridge Golf Course

9:51 tee time w/ 3 buddies. Last played this course in 2012. Played the Alligator & Coyote nines. This is a tough but fun layout. Target golf on Alligator course, tight tee shots. Fairways a little thin. Greens are elevated small postage stamp greens and they look great. Much better than they were in 2012. Greens on Alligator nine cut lower therefor rolled faster. Greens on Coyote nine were not cut as low, therefore was much slower. Had problems w/ extracting flag poles from several cups, would not come out without the cup so ended up putting w/ flags in cup on seferal holes. This was 1st time my buddies played the course & they enjoyed it. Golf cart pretty new & in good working order. Nice large driving range. Will definitely return soon.

1:18 tee time w/ wife & buddy for $26.25/ea thru Golfnow Hot Deal. It was a pleasure playing a dry course. Has a fun Linx style layout. Very scenic. Tee boxes, fairways, & greens plush. Greens rolling true & fast. Course just opened January this year & everything is new. Pro shop immaculate & well stocked. Range blass were provided. Battery powered cart w/ windshield , rain cover in back, & GPS. Bathrooms on course clean. Water & ice available @ bathrooms on course. Very helpful & cheery cart girl. Was worth the hour & half ride. Will play again especially with the great Hot Deal price.

2:30 pm tee time w/ wife for $22.36/ea thru Golfnow Hot Deal. This is a gorgeous course. No houses on course. Very serene & quiet. Every hole is spectacular to look at. Challenging but fair course. Fairways were decent, have played more carpeted fairways, but very playable. Course has elevation changes. Tee boxes in good condition. Greens are elevated, rolling true & fairly fast. Pro shop well stocked & in same building as eatery. Employees were friendly. They let us tee up a good 45 minutes prior to actual tee time. Recently other places won't let Golfnow payers tee off before actual tee time purchased. Well worth the 1 hour 45 minute ride. Will definitely return.

1:04 pm tee time w/ wife for $21.40/ea thru Golfnow Hot Deal. Similar in quality to DeBary G&CC, Dubsdread GC, &. Juliette Falls GC. This is a challenging, fun, & visually pleasing course. Has a huge clubhouse w/ a well stocked pro shop. Has a spectacular driving range & practice putting green. It is a pleasure to play a course that is green & plush from tee box to green. The course has several tight tee shots therefore can't hit driver all the time. Greens are rolling true & fast. Course is in spectacular shape. The staff was congenial. Carts are battery powered w/ windshield & rain cover. All in all a great experience & well worth the drive.

River Run Golf Links

2:28 pm tee time w/ wife for $14.98/ea as Golfnow Hot Deal. This is a municipal course owned by city of Bradenton. That being said, it was a fun pleasure to play. It is in much better shape than most courses currently during this drought that Florida is in. The greens & even the tee boxes & fairways were green & plush. Been to some courses that are only watering the greens & the rest of the course is dry & burned. This is a tight, tough, & challenging course, especially the back nine. Greens rolling true & midfast. A very nice layout & scenic. No homes on course. Proshop personnel were friendly. Gas powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Will definitely return to play in future. Was worth the hour & 1/2 drive.

Forest Lake Golf Club

3:00 pm tee time w/ buddy for $20/ea direct thru course web site. Nice fun course in better than good condition. Tee boxes, fairways & greens plush. Greens rolling medium fast paced but not true on some holes. Like most of Florida, fairways need water. Most of course is links style w/ wide tee shot landing areas. No homes on most of course but not serene, a lot of traffic noise because of proximity to Toll Road 429. Still a fun course w/ lots of man -made scenic nature. Has nice Pro shop that well stocked. Gas powered carts w/ windshield, rain cover in back, & no frills GPS.Will replay again in near future.

12:45 tee time for $32 minus $10 reward thru Golfnow. Teamed up w/ nice couple from Venice & single from Pennsylvania. Very challenging & fun layout. Like most Florida courses presently, tee boxes & fairways dry. Greens lush, rolling true & fast. Good amount of ponds in play & in some instances not visible so good to have GPS handy or obtain yardage book from pro shop. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Well worth the hour & half drive.

Pro shop under construction, so being run from desk in front of restaurant. Fun layout except for 10th & 11th holes, which seemed different from rest of course. Tee boxes, fairways, & greens plush. Elevated greens rolling fast & true. Gas powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Was woth the hour & 1/2 drive, especially for the price offered by Group Golfer. Hamptons Golf Club

1:30 tee time for $12.84 thru Golfnow. Unfortunately, was not informed by Golfnow that front nine was closed for maintenance. This is an Similar to Deer Creek RV Golf & CC but in better condition. This Executive course has 7 Par 4's & the rest Par 3's. All the Par 4's are drivable but I played here to practice irons/approach shots & that's why I thought the price was great. That being said, this course is not for beginners. It is a tight course & some of the people I was placed with, hit trailer homes. I was astounded in how nice a shape the course is in. Tee boxes & fairways are plush. Greens are phenomenal, rolling true & fast. Better than some Championship course greens I've played on. Found out they replaced all the greens last year. Battery powered carts without windshield or rain cover in back. Has a nice practice putting & chipping greens, not much of a driving range but doable.

11:00 am tee time w/ wife for $12.84/ea thru Golfnow.com. Similar in quality to Mount Dora GC, The Abbey Course, & Water Oak CC. Gas carts without Windshield or rain cover in back. Clover fairways. Initially slow greens but got faster when sun came out. They say you get what you pay for but in this case, you get more. This course has a fun & interesting layout. By no means nothing like a resort course & not pristine, but playable & fun. Was worth the hour & 10 minute ride.

11:56 tee time w/wife thru GN.com using Gift card from ER crew. Another course run by Integrity Golf. Fun & challenging layout. Last 2 holes are tough. No houses on course. This course reminds me so much of Diamondback Golf Club in Haines City that closed down. Double wide trailer for Pro shop & eatery. Staff nice & congenial. Tee boxes & fairways fairly plush & in decent condition but not pristine. Huge elevated greens rolling pretty true & w/ decent speed (same speed as with most Integrity managed courses before they go bad). Was a miserable rainy day as well as a cold front coming in but made the best of it. Golf carts in good shape w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Was worth the 1.5 hour drive. The Eagles Golf Club Forest Course

12:51 tee time w/ wife, retirement round from my ER family. This course should the "other Lakes course". Has 1 or 2 less lakes than the Lake Course but has more forced water carries. Just as nice a condition as the Lakes course: tee boxes, fairways & greens plush w/ the greens rolling true & fast. Unlike the Lakes Course, does not stop by the club house after nine so I suggest getting enough drinks & snacks @ start of round. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive.

Eagles Golf Club Lakes course

11:57 tee time w/ buddy . Similar to Rio Pinar CC except w/ exceptional greens & more bodies of water. Wide tee shot landing areas. Tee boxes in great shape. Fairways cut low but pretty plush. Roughs are cut low enough to spot errant ball fairly quick. Perfect amount of sand in bunkers. Greens are spectacular. They're elevated, some are huge. But they roll true & fast. Probably 10 or 11 on stimpmeter. Course has a cool layout in subdivision setting. There are many small bodies of water on course but they don't really come into play unless you hit a really poor shot. Saw a couple of huge gators & typical Florida fowl. The round was slow w/ several 3-some in front of us, but no Rangers around to speed up play. Staff in clubhouse & carts as well as Starter, were nice. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Will definitely come back to play this challenging & enjoyable course. Well worth the hour & half drive.
