This used to be one of the better public courses in the area. The condition has really gone downhill. The starter was aloof and on her phone the entire 20 minutes we were near the clubhouse area. It is very shady that they do not tell you that several holes are closed until after you book your tee time.

First time playing Bowie. Pleasant surprise. Very nice layout that presents a challenge without being punishing. The course was in great condition. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Great course for the money and I plan on going back.

This was my first time playing here and the condition of the course was very disappointing. The tee boxes were rock hard, the bunkers had mud instead of sand and the greens were riddled with unrepaired ball marks.

The staff was very friendly, but there are better courses in the area.

The course is currently under construction, so you play a combination of holes from the 3 nine hole courses to create a full 18. Overall the the course could be very nice, but the tees and fairways are in awful condition. The greens are in surprisingly good shape, but are so slow it takes a lot to convince yourself to hit it hard enough.
Hopefully this course will live up to its potential when the renovations are complete.

The layout is great, but the fairways and tees are in shockingly bad shape for a course of this price. The landing areas have so many unrepaired divots, they need to be torn up and resodded. The bunkers were very inconsistent with many needing new sand. Overall, I enjoyed the course, but would only return with a GolfNow hot rate special.

Started off promising with a free bucket of balls included as part of the greens fee. The range mats are severely worn and should have been replaced several seasons ago. On the course, there is little to no grass on most of the tee boxes, the bunkers are inconsistent with some having no sand and just hard packed mud, others used to have sand and some with a very thin layer over the hardpan. Many holes have no discernable fairway with the rough and fairway being the same length.
The layout seemed nice and if the course was well maintained, it would probably be pretty nice. Overall there are much nicer courses in the area, don't waste your time.

Overall the course is in good condition, except the bunkers are very inconsistent, one hole will have mud/hardpan in the bunkers and the next will have fresh sand (it seems that only the holes in view of the clubhouse get the sand). The course provides a challenge without being punishing. Being a muni, the pace of play can be slow, even on a Wednesday. With the GolfNow price, it is well worth it.

The course is in overall good condition, but strangely 3 of the greens were horrible with massive dead spots. There is no driving range, which was surprising. The course plays very short even from the tips with too many par 3's. Driver is barely used and most of the par 4's and 5's need only a mid iron to play with the doglegs. Even though the course was fairly crowded (which had a very slow pace) the snack stand is not open during the week.
Overall, its an interesting course with nice views to get some short game work and not a bad deal with the golfnow price, but I would not want to make it a regular play and would never pay full rate.

One of the best municipal courses in the area. Not very long even from the tips, but provides a fair challenge to both skilled players and hackers. Course is in very good condition for the amount of play it receives. I highly recommend it, especially for the golfnow price, I plan on putting it in my regular rotation.
An added treat is the many bald eagles that soar throughout the course.
The only complaint is that the bunkers need some work.

The course is in excellent condition and provides a nice challenge. The pace of play can get slow.

The course is in very good condition and good for going out for a quick 9 holes. The layout is very short (2 par threes less than 100 yards from the back tees) and the holes feel forced into the limited space.
