Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 09/06/2015PLeasantly Suprised
I decided to take a weekend road trip to the Orlando Area and play some golf. This was my first stop Sunday Morning. The facilities are very modern and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Although the course is not that long, there are some very challenging holes. The greens were a bit slow, but with all the rain, I expected it. What I didn't expect was the rolling terrain I had very few level lies which made it even more challenging and prompted me to make better club selections. The fairways were lush, and the rough was rough. I found out very early on, that missing the fairway, even a few yards, was not good. If I could find my ball, it was a terrible lie. Every hole could produce a post card picture. If it wasn't for the 2:30 minute drive, I would definitely play this course more often.
The Eagles Golf Club - Forest
Played On 08/23/2015The Rough is Rough
This was the first time I played this course and I was not disappointed. The greens were punched, but I knew that going in. They were still playable, and should be back to form soon. I really enjoyed the lay-out and wild life. We saw several deer, and their off spring running through the course through-out our round. The only issue I had was finding my ball when hitting into the rough. The ball disappeared into the tall grass. I guess it wouldn't be an issue if I hit every shot straight. lol

I didn't much care for the course lay out. The condition of the course was OK. Some of the holes were interesting. The fairways were very forgiving, but the elevation changes, and rolling nature of the course made for some difficult shots with odd lies. I was really not impressed with the greens. They looked beautiful, but in fact were slow and not very true. Overall the course was worth playing for the price, but I would not rank it in the top ten I have played in the central Florida area. I drove 90 miles from the Fl. West coast to play it, because it was dry over there, so mission accomplished.

Last week has been one of the wettest string of days we have had here on the mid-west coast of Florida in as long as I can remember. I wanted to play real bad, so I did some research of rainfall amounts within reasonable driving distance, and decided on two different courses in the Lakewood Ranch area. This course was the second of the two I played, and like the first, was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly, and the practice facilities were great. I noticed the sanded greens, and knew coming in that putting would be an issue, but I knew that when I booked. Even with the adverse conditions, the course was beautiful and well kept. Man made drains throughout helped the fairways drain very well, and they were lush. Although it was a fairly tight course, there was room to maneuver as long as your shot wasn't totally off course. Of the two courses I played this weekend, this one was twice the price but, I would and am looking forward to playing it again. It was definitely worth the hour drive from Middle Pinellas county to play.
The River Club
Played On 08/01/2015Pleasantly Suprised
With all the rain here in the Tampa Bay area these last ten days, I researched courses in areas that received the least amount if the wet stuff. The River Club was a real bargain so I booked a round. The facility is a fully functional Clubhouse with food, drink, and of course Pro shop. All of the staff I encountered were friendly. Now to Golf. Even with all the rain, the course was in very nice condition. A few holes were "Cart Path Only" but I expected much worse. It is a very challenging course. I paired up with some locals that had played there before, and that alone saved me a couple of strokes. There is no food at the turn, so bring your own before you start your round. It's a long trip to the club house from the 9th T. There are rest rooms and water is available throughout your journey. Even though it was a 50 minute drive each way, I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, and I'm looking forward to playing it again.
Thank you for playing at The River Club! We appreciate you taking the long drive to come and play with us at our course. We strive to make your golfing experience a pleasurable one and look forward to you coming back again very soon!
Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 07/08/2015Everyone In A Hurry
Overall, the course is in pretty good condition. The greens are faster than I enjoy playing, but rolled pretty true. My major complaint with this course was that everyone was in a hurry. When I was checking in, some guy was complaining that a group outing scheduled that day, was an inconvenience to him. While playing, I felt hurried all the time. There was no time to relax as one after another were coming up behind me. Like speed walking and running at times to their ball. I let 5 groups play through so I could relax and work on my game. The only reason I played here was the great deal I got from this site. With all the nice courses we have in the area, I would choose several over this one.

Over all the course was in pretty good condition. The greens were good for me, so no complaints there. The only complaint I really had, was the bunkers were un-playable. It was like hitting the ball off concrete. On my second attempt, I used my putter and rolled the ball right up the slope onto the green. I have played a lot of golf courses in the last month for pennies on the dollar through this site, and this course exceeded my expectations. I would definitely play it again. And, not just because I scored well here. lol
Clearwater Country Club
Played On 06/29/2015Not For Me
Although the staff was very friendly and professional, the course itself has much to be desired. Greens were just about un-playable, and there wasn't much difference in being in the fairway or the rough. The lay out was quite boring also. For the money, I would never play this course again.
Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your round. Please send an email to clearwatercountryclub@yahoo.com to further discuss some of your concerns.

I really enjoyed my round of golf here. After a weekend of breaking down on my Harley, I decided to take a Monday and play golf. Booked T time for a great price. Showed up at the course an hour early and took advantage of the chipping a putting green to get a feel for the conditions. I ended up pairing up with a man and his two sons that were down here visiting from St Louis. The layout is great, and I really enjoyed the sense of nature I got while navigating the property. Some repair was being done to a few of the fairways, but I expected that as it is off season. All in all, the course was in good shape. I live only a few miles from this course, and will definitely take advantage of the last minute deals they offer.
Awesome! Hi thanks so much for taking the time to review our course Seminole Lake CC, we are so happy to hear you had a good time out on the course and enjoyed the layout and the deals. We look forward to seeing again soon!
