The course is paying awesome. The fairways are in excellent shape, the tee boxes are good and the greens are rolling true for the price you can’t beat Dogwood Trace!

The course was nice. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great condition. I'm not sure what the norm is for this area, but I was pleasantly surprised and grateful. If I do play another round it will probably be here.

Although the greens got punched this week the course played fairly well. The only issue was that every one of the water containers were empty and pace of play was terrible. We even had a single come in as we were told by the marshall that we needed to be done in 45 minutes. The single didn't care, we were waiting on every hole for the foursome in front of us and we were on their tails, and this guy was so uncourteous that he came in and just tee'd off as we were putting on the green. We had to wait for him as he waited for the foursome...not cool!!!
The water issue was bad as the guy in the clubhouse had really no concern and said we could go to the bar which charged us for ice and water.

When you travel from out of town you never know what you are going to encounter at a course you've never played before. We chose this course since we were staying in Tampa and this was a convenient location on our way. I read the previous reviews and I was concerned we'd get caught up in slow play and it was just the opposite. There were not many folks out when we arrived so we never had to wait on a tee box, the tee box, fairways, roughs and greens were in great shape! Nothing better than hitting a course where you can develop a tempo in your game and play well!
I would come here again if and when we return to the area!

The course is in beautiful shape. It's always nice to get out onto a nice course with well maintained fairways, roughs that are true to form and greens that are on the fast side,, but running true. If you ever get a chance to play this course I would highly recommend it!

Let me prefice this review with the weather. The course was wet....almost everywhere. Rain has probably made the course in better condition from previous reviews, but overall the in good shape considering the amount of rain we've been getting. The grounds care folks hadn't been out in a while as evident in overgrown t-boxes, which by the way look like they needed some healing time anyways. The fairways were in really good shape with the exception of standing water in areas or highly saturated areas. The greens were in great shape....some dead area's but have been on worse in the past couple weeks. They rolled true and speeds were moderate. Overall, I will come back as I really enjoyed the course.

This is a regular course for me when visiting the Charleston area. I am never displeased by the condition...even with all the rain the east coast has been getting....the course played well. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Hoping to play again in the near future!

The course is playing really well, especially if you can keep it in the fairways. Balls falling off the fairways into the leaves will be a 50/50 chance if your lucky to find. Greens hold true and roll pretty well. Good place for a quick 9 or 18!

This course is beautiful and well worth the value. Greens had small aeration marks, but rolled true and at a good speed, not too slow, but not too fast. Sand traps were well maintained, with more than adequate sand for all typical sand shots. Course layout is excellent. Fairways were in really good shape. Overall I would rate this course as a 4 our of 5 rating.
