I’ve played Whittier many times before.. usually pace of play was so slow.. was one of the reasons I never went back for a while.. the 2nd was the conditions of the course were not great.. me and some buddies decided to give it a try after many years not playing there and to my surprise the course is the greenest I have ever seen it! Pace of play was much better .. waited in a couple of holes but not very long .. keep it up Whittier and I’ll keep coming back!

Pace of play was good if anything our group might have slowed down the pace lol.. as always staff is great.. glad to see pond has water back in it and no recent rains so “cart path only” rule was not in play which is awesome because last 2 times it was and it sucks.. get out there cause conditions are great rn !

A couple months ago I left a one star review for Santa Anita.. I couldn’t believe how bad it was… decided to come back after the rains and WOW! It’s like day and night.. very happy the course grew some grass and cleaned up.. can’t wait to come back and play it again.. I recommend 🤘🏼

With all the rain the course was very muddy
I’m actually surprised they let golf carts on the course only 2 holes were “cart path only”
The rough was grown very long so if you hit it there you might not find it.. I lost 3 balls hitting in the rough just off the fairway, knew exactly where it landed and it just disappeared.. might have gotten plugged because of the muddy conditions.. be careful where you step cause it might be straight into deep mudd.. we went out with 5 players and pace of play went well..
no complaints here really just trying to relay info on the mudd and long rough ..
Paid $66 per player I’d say for the conditions of mudd I’d say $55-$60 woulda been fair for admission

I love driving out to this course..
Couple of elevated Tees and tricky holes.. it was VERY windy when we played so it just made it even more trickier.. so if you don’t like wind check the conditions before you get out there..course condition is fair more green than not.. they seem to be understaffed between the bar and snack shop but other than that I’m definitely playing here again and again

We arrived at the course and was told the front 9 was closed because there was a huge beehive ..
Made no sense I’d figure they would ask us to play past the hole and skip it or something.. there are a ton of homes around there so don’t know if it was true.. it’s possible they pinched the greens and just keep us off of the front.. it’s fine but I wish I would have been told before making the trip out to the course I could have made other plans.. I saw dozens of people walk away and went elsewhere.. I love the course we stayed and still had a good time.. conditions of the course are very good.. so only complaint is about the closure but other than that great course

Played here on a Friday afternoon so pace of play was good.. after playing many courses around the area I was very important with the condition the course it in.. lots of green I don’t remember seeing dry patches .. the greens rolled true.. I played a course about 15 miles west and the course was disgusting.. they should be ashamed for what they were charging to play there it was yellow, and dry.. and if it wasn’t yellow then it was straight up dirt.. very disappointed.. play meadows for $10 cheaper

I played here a couple weeks before this round and I was utterly shocked how they let the course go in just that short a time.. the course right now is mostly dirt ..your lucky if your drives land in at least yellow grass.. I love this track but I’d suggest playing else where till they get the course in better playing conditions..especially for how much they are charging

I love this course ,restaurant, hotel… it’s all great.. courses are definitely challenging Ike harder then babe.. always love playing here must play

Golfed here and was worried about it since reading a lot of reviews that were not up to par so to speak.. came out with our foursome and the only complaining we did was about some bad shots.. some spots on the fairway are hard pan but truly nothing to complain about it was basically anywhere towards the edges of the fairway.. it was a great outing with friends and look very much forward to getting back out there soon!
I’m guessing the complaints come from pga pros lol

I’ve played the babe 3 times very challenging but yet less expensive about $20 less.. ike is easier no doubt but has its challenges.. deff more open and less hill sides on the front 9.. I loved the layout and since I went during the winter fairways were thin etc conditions which was expected.. no doubt when spring rolls around everything will be grown out and beautiful! The course is well maintained under the weather circumstances and I can’t wait to return the begging of spring

Fun course bought booked our t time on the golf now app.. booked it for walking but when we got there they charged us more said we booked the senior rate.. we straightened it out after the round and got the difference back.. course played well and moved along well.. can’t say the same for my putting

2 courses up here have only tried The Babe twice both times a great experience (well except for my golf) but views of the course and city are amazing .. it’s top notch up here next time I’m going to try the restaurant

I like this course it’s not the greatest but I do like the layout and it is a little challenging as Most holes aren’t straight away fairways .. 2nd time playing here and I’ll be back .. there are a few dry spots but not horrible..

Pace of play had us waiting a little behind 2 groups wasn’t that big of a deal as I enjoyed hanging and talking with my buddies with a beer.. course layout was nice everything maintained well.. not to challenging looks are deceiving .. I recommend
