Fun Round

Tot Hill Farm is as interesting a course as I have ever played. The layout amongst the hills with unique features created a fantastic morning of golf. The greens were extremely soft (balls sinking on the green) is really the only negative. Beautiful and very challenging!

Loved the course, greens are fast, pace is too slow

I played Emerald Lake on an upper 50's day on March 17, 2017. It was my first time to play this course. I very much enjoyed the layout. A bit short, but we played the white tees. The greens were in very good shape and very fast. I had a hard time getting my shots to stick to the greens but I will take the blame for that. The greens are very challenging being quick and undulated, but I like that much more than slow boring greens. I really enjoyed the aesthetics and design of the course as well. Each hole had something interesting in it's layout. The course is in good shape for March.

The only problem was the extremely slow pace of play. We waited for up to 15 minutes for 2 groups in front of us to proceed before being able to tee off. It really makes it hard to get any consistency when sitting for that long. They need to space out their tee times or something. So the course was very good but the experience was almost ruined by the pace of play. I will go back however and hope it is better next time.

One other small thing. At the driving range they were allowing people to hit from spots not on the range (yes there were plenty of open spots, just without much grass). The issue was they were driving almost right over the small (and not very good) chipping area. It was too dangerous to use. The quality of the chipping area and not being able to use it, plus the very small practice putting green cause me to give the "Off Course Amenities" a 2 star rating.

Overall I am still going with a 4 star rating since I really enjoyed the course. I don't want to overstate my criticism. Go enjoy this course.

Nice Golf Course

I played on a very windy day (20+mph). the course was in good shape, especially the greens for early March. The layout is good with the exception that there is very little level fairway. And be careful if you hit long, you can drive through several fairways with 250 yards turning a great drive into a water logged ball. But a very good and somewhat challenging course. The greens are quite undulated making them challenging but that is the way I like it. I want to play the slope rather than having to hit through it. I will definitely go back.
