Pace of Play

Thought I’d give it a try on a Saturday despite the reviews about pace of play (no way a round really takes 6 hours right?….WRONG) 2 hours and 55 minutes to play the front 9. Another hour 5 to play the next 4. Some holes we were backed up 4 groups deep at the tee box. We finally left after 4 hours and only 13 holes completed. Not a Marshall in sight anywhere. I asked the gentleman in the pro shop if it’s usually that bad on the weekends and all he said was “yeah that’s understandable” lol no it’s not that’s ridiculous! Golf doesn’t need to take 20 minutes per hole. He then asked if anyone offered to let us play through. How are we supposed to play through a half dozen groups? Booking tee times every 7/8 minutes apart on the weekends is complete insanity but they don’t seem to care. Don’t expect to get a quick round in on the weekends, or even a normal round for that matter. Gotta give credit where it’s due so 2 stars because the course was in pretty great shape

We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

Just terrible

Given this place so many chances (at least 10 rounds) but it’s just awful, pace of play can be unbearable and I’ve never once seen a marshal. Layout on the front 9 is as poor as I have ever seen. 2nd, 4th and 8th fairways are nearly impossible to hit because of the slope. Most of the tee boxes aren’t level and the cluster of the 7,8, 9 fairways winding through each other make it a battlefield of balls coming at you. Not to mention the “geofence” they put on the carts make you walk half the course. 8th hole green is an absolute joke, we make it an automatic 2 putt once you’re on green because the possibility of a 4-5 putt is very real. Back 9 is a little friendlier but by the time you get done playing a 2.5 hour front 9 watching every tee shot roll off the fairway or every putt funnel away from the hole, you’re over it

Cart path only

$75 for an afternoon round at a course in worse shape than some munis. Tee boxes are basically crabgrass. Not the worst of it. $20 for a cart that’s so heavily restricted by their GPS it’s almost cart path only. If I wanted to hike 100 yards to get to my ball every hole I would have walked. $75 afternoon round is highway robbery.

Pace of play

Great course, really challenging and kept in great shape. Gotta know your yardages and the nooks and crannies of the course to play to your handicap. Pace of play is horrendous though, played here multiple times as a single or with a friend and I won’t do it again. $70 for a twilight tee time and I’ve never finished a round in less than 4.5 hours. Even as a single or pair. And never seen a Marshall. Not worth it

Concrete bunkers

Arrived 15 minutes before our tee time (4:23) with no direction where to check in. Finally find the back entrance to the pro shop downstairs and were informed that they were ahead of schedule so the group we were paired with would be teeing off soon. Hurried back to the truck to get clubs and shoes and man in the pro shop told us to “get a move on guys let’s go” at 4:14. Get to the first tee in a rush and the fairway looks like a monster truck did laps on it. With the exception of cement bunkers, the rest of the course was nice, deceivingly fast greens. but doosher in the pro shop and a terrible hole 1 is enough not to come back. Even for $20. Spend a few extra bucks and go to Heritage Ranch

Perfect

Anyone who doesn’t rate this 5 stars is either blind or slow. Immaculate course, no matter how much it rains the bunkers are always in great condition. I’ve played at courses 3times the price of heritage that weren’t this nice. Greens are always pristine, 10 green seems faster than the rest for some reason.
