Best round of my vacation

I played with my father in law who has played several courses in the area and thought that this was the best course he had played in the venice/sarasota area. The fairways are pretty generous and I don't feel like it had as many water hazards as some courses.

I'm not used to chipping on the type of grass in Florida that they have in Dec so that was a problem I still had, but the greens were so true that I putted the best I can remember in awhile. I had 6 one putts ranging from 6-25 feet.

The driving range is like some of the ones I've seen on TV where you hit it into the water which my wife thought was really cool. When we come back to florida which we do every year, I will play here again.

Beautiful course

This is a very scenic mountain course. No. 10 has a great view and visually was my most challenging tee shot. The pace of play was a tad slow. I wish the driving range had better marked distances but I may have missed the sign. I really enjoyed the layout and you couldn't always just yank out the driver for all tee shots not par 3.

palouse ridge in the summer

Played this in the late summer. The course is hard and fast then. I generally drive the ball 250-270 but was getting a lot more roll. It is sort of links like in play with respect to the greens since i thought they were hard and needed to account for this. The greens are smooth and fast.

For the price I got with golfnow, it was a ridiculously great deal. regular price is a little pricey but the best course I've played with the advertised greens fees. If you have played wine valley, this course is similar but with less slope on the greens.
