Played On 08/25/2017Nice round of golf but don't overpay
Greens on the course were in great condition given the very wet weather the west of Scotland has been getting. Nice opening par 4 followed by a tough little par 3 2nd, 3 to 6 a but repetitive and uninteresting, 7 to 12 look and feel better, 13 14 15 a bit crammed in so could slow things up if course is busy 16 17 18 forgiving enough for your round to end on an up note. Pro was helpful and cheerful on arrival at course. Worthwhile giving this course a go but wouldn't spend over £20 for the round if you can

The heavy rainfall of the previous day's and weeks had made the course quite wet in places with no run off the tees however despite this the greens were rolling true, medium fast pace and in overall great condition. Course is a good test of your game at par 68 off the white tees especially the par 4s at 447 and 458 yards and without any run your short game better be on song.
Clubhouse welcome was friendly as were the green keepers out on the course. Managed to win a round of applause for a shot over some pine trees from some members so well played them.
Overall a good course and will try and play it again when the weather has been kinder to it

Whilst the old original course was tough and challenging with lots of quite narrow fairways where you needed to be reasonably straight the new layout has now become ridiculously tight with zero room for error on some holes.
If you can remember the old 8th hole, now the 15th I think, then this is now one of the wider and more forgiving fairways to hit.
On the plus side the bunkers were lovely with good sand and a pleasure to play out of
