Not going back

Tee boxes uneven. Greens covered in dead spots. Inside facilities are dirty and unorganized. The only friendly person on staff was the starter. Pace of play was decent, but probably because of the lack of business.

Not worth the drive

Putting into consideration COVID conditions I may be being a bit harsh, but....
I've lived in Temecula for six years and have played many courses from from LA to San Diego. I have read some reviews that were relatively good and have even had this course recommended by a friend. The group that I normally play with likes the earlier Tee Times, which we were able to get, but I was disappointed that the Practice Range was not opened early enough for the early Tee Times to take advantage of. Also, the restaurant was closed, which is not the case at any of the other courses I play. Being the first time any of my group had played this course, it was difficult to follow the layout. The Tee boxes and fairways were in poor to fair conditions, but the greens and areas around the greens were in very good shape. The pace of play could have been a bit better. We found ourselves waiting on most of the Tee boxes and for several approach shots. The staff was seemingly friendly. All in all, not my worst experience on a golf course, but wasn't worth the drive and I won't be playing there again.

Good Round

Pleasantly surprised! It's been about 5 years since I last played this course and from what I recall the course conditions were better this go around. Also, considering the greens were recently punched and the time of year, I thought the course was in better shape than many other courses I regularly play. A few of the holes are setup for tricky Tee shots which made it interesting and made up for how short the course played overall and the greens rolled true. I found the staff to professional and all business, but I wouldn't necessarily categorize them as "friendly". Not really a bad thing, just wanted to point it out. Overall, I did enjoy the round and facilities and will definitely return.

Minor Complications

I've played this course several times and usually enjoy it. However, this round was particularly underwhelming. The practice range was in decent shape, but heading off the first my group noticed the Tee Box was significantly overgrown. This was the case on most holes and several others were uneven. Another common issue that we observed was very patchy fairways, a lot of bare spots and tight lies. It didn't overly impact my score as the course layout is relatively easy. The price was a touch high considering the conditions. The Greens were in really good shape and rolled true, though. The staff was also friendly and attentive as usual. Perhaps some of the minor complications were a one-off due to the time of year. Though this review is average, I will be back again, but I may wait until Spring.

Hello, Kevin. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars due to tee boxes and fairway inconsistencies, but we are glad the rest of the course was in great shape and the staff treated you well. We hope you'll give us another try in the near future.

Pretty good day

Overall good experience. Tee Boxes on several holes were in poor shape and a lot of golfers apparently don't repair their ball marks on the Greens. The practice range is adequate, but it's definitely time replace the range balls. The rest of the course was in pretty good shape. Would recommend a snack/drink cart out on the course. I will very likely be back for another round.

Course Conditions

This is a course that I play several times throughout the year and usually really enjoy the experience. The staff is great and the facilities and amenities are pretty good. I also like the course layout. It offers plenty for all level golfers. However, I played there on 15 Jun 19 and was disappointed in the course conditions. The Greens were a bit bumpy and several players ahead of my group had not repaired their ball marks. The Bunkers were horrible and the rough was ridiculous. The rough was way too long and full of weeds. Extremely difficult to play out of and on a few occasions my playing partners and I could not find our balls on shots that were only a few yards off the fairway. For a public course this is unacceptable. This is not the US Open and there isn't tournament staff on the course to mark my ball with a flag on an errant shot!

Great all around experience.

The course is in great condition, better than most for this time of year. If I had any complaints it would be that practice range was a bit beat up with divots and the greens had a few too many unrepaired and poorly repaired ball marks. The staff is always awesome and great supporters of Military! Will be back often!
