Citrus National Golf Club
Played On 02/04/2023Getting better
Definite improvements underway. Need more grass growth on some tees, fairways and first cut of rough. Greens are in really nice shape and driving range, putting green and practice area are in great shape.
Pine Barrens at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2020Not like it used to be
I’ve played World Woods - Pine Barrens many times over the years and it remains a terrific layout and beautiful terrain but this particular visit the fairways were dry and the greens were slow. They rolled true but just slower than normal and some were not in good condition with a fungus issue on some greens.
This could still be one of Florida’s best if they took greater care of the turf. Still an enjoyable day on the Links but missing the incredible condition this course used to be in.
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - South Course
Played On 12/28/2016Great Layouts
Picturesque landscapes and fast greens at both the North and South courses at Lake Jovita. What's unusual here are the hills which you don't typically see on Florida courses. The south plays tougher but the north is plenty challenging. You'll enjoy your round regardless of which you choose.
Pine Barrens at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 08/21/2016Beautiful Layout-Great Challenge
Have played Pine Barrens a few times before. Got a great rate due to a hot deal. Greens were aerated 3 weeks ago so not quite as fast as in previous visits. However, played Rolling Oaks last year and the greens were terrific. This is a great layout visually and unlike most courses in Florida due to many elevation changes. It's a target golf course. You need to hit the fairways or you'll end up in very high overgrown rough or waste bunkers. Still one of the best places to play in Florida.
