Marshall Canyon Golf Club
Played On 11/27/2021Always a favorite course to play
I've reviewed this Course many time but it consistently is a relaxing round of Golf due to the friendliness of Staff, other players, pace of play, and the Course layout scenery and serenity. Its a Gold nugget in my opinion.
I played this past round on Thanksgiving Weekend, Friday afternoon with a 1:50 pm tee time. While normally, I'm playing earlier at a higher rate for 18 hole play, I had to admit this was a value for a 2 pm start, where a group of 4 can easily get in 14+ holes before twilight. I may need to rethink my pay/play strategy going forward. Can't go wrong either way.
Marshall Canyon Golf Club
Played On 11/27/2021Novice Beginner Friendly Course
First time playing this course with a late tee time of 2 pm. Due to an Golf Event that just ended, it caused a backup up of Riding Carts not available to meet tee times. As Carts drove in, was washed and cleaned, they were redistributed by tee time orders. The Tee times were pushed back by 15-20 minutes, and ran 2+ Groups waiting. The backup caused slow play that only allowed for 9 Holes of play before twilight. Not worth the price to play.
The Fairways are tight and riddled with chalked off hazard areas, resulting in ball repositioning. The Backup of Players coupled with the tight Parallel Fairways resulted in errand balls and Golf Carts/Players crisscrossing adjacent fairways to play their shots which further slowed and delayed the pace of play. Not a good experience for first time playing this course. While I won't be back, this course may be good for family, young teen, and novice play.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes.

Thank you for visiting Marshall Canyon Golf Club. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Upland Hills Country Club
Played On 11/11/2021Nice Municipal type G.C. but needs a Course Marshal
First time playing Upland Hills GC, where I treated my golf buddy for a Thursday 'Veteran Day' Appreciation round. First impressions were 5-Star, nice clubhouse, professional and helpful employees, and customers/golfers.
Tee off times were set in increments of 10 minutes between groups, however no Marshall on Tee 1 which had players juggling for 'next group up'.
The Course layout and design seemed to by a plan development with Homes tightly surrounding each fairway, which is no problem if you're hitting the ball straight. Nice fairways, greens, sand traps, and generally challenging.
My only complaint was pace-of-play, that was being held up in particularly by 1 group of foursome. The group was spending upwards to 4-5 minutes giving on course instructions; posture, stance, golf swing etc. for their beginning partners, which was annoying and backed--up three groupings waiting on Tee Boxes. There was No Marshal on the course throughout the entire Round, to monitor and maintain the pace of play. I can only imagine the issues on weekends.
Afterwards, the Clubhouse was very lively and inviting for Players and even Local residence to use the facilities. My buddy and I enjoyed a 19th Hole refreshment and next time may extend our time to add Food from the menu.
Overall, I will look forward to playing this Course again and would recommend it to others. It was a time and money well spent.
El Prado Golf Courses - Butterfield Stage
Played On 09/14/2021Enjoyable friendly round
Choose Butterfield GC with a good rate for a weekday round of golf with a buddy. Buddy had car problems and called to bail on me at the last minute. I became the third wheel to a couple other dudes near my tee time. Had a great enjoyable time playing with them.
Course greens were surprisingly in good shaped, on a warm day, and the ball rolled held on approached shots and rolled well on putts. Fairways can always use improvement, lots of bare patches, so don’t hesitate to improve your lie, but overall I would give fairways an average rating.
Pace of play first 9 holes was ok, had to wait for senior league to tee off and get a shot ahead, but last 9 holes had no delays or hold ups. Marshall on course to monitor and encourage groups to keep pace which is appreciated. 1 cart girl working hard and came by at least 6+ times over 18 holes so plenty of opportunities to buy a snack or drink. Another relaxing a fun round at El Prado!
Marshall Canyon Golf Club
Played On 08/14/2021Nice Experience
Booked a good rate on Golf Now at $ 42 + Cart with a 10:40 tee time. Weather conditions were perfect with a light cloud cover to reduce the expected Heat and a welcome breeze. The Clubhouse and section of outside building is under renovations which lowered my Amenities (temporarily) to a 3 Star rating, but the staff did a good job with patio amenities and 1 Golf Cart service for the course. Starter is a great guy, professional, and active on course to encourage pace of play for slower groups. We had a slow foursome ahead of us that delayed the round to around 5 hours. Course conditions were surprisingly well watered, greens were soft but ball rolled very well on the greens. Fairways too were in good conditions for an August summer weekend. Mountain Meadows is a hidden gem with great views, several heard of deer roaming the course and just a great time had by all. Lots of laughter among the guess players. I recommend this course anytime of the year.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Marshall Canyon Golf Club!
El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
Played On 12/12/2020Great time
Tee time was 1:40 and was able to start on time, despite groups of foursomes preceding us the pace of play was actually fast without any holdups during the round, including Par 3’s. Course conditions were better then expected with fast greens. Had a fun time.
Shorecliffs Golf Club
Played On 12/25/2020Enjoyable Outing but under renovations
First time playing this course, the Course is wide open and forgiving of bad shots, overall had a fun afternoon although many areas are under renovations. Course starts out with a Hole 1-A and 1-B, because Hole 3 is not playable while under renovation. Also, I believe it was Hole 5 that is entire under reconstruction due to an adjoining Hill landslide. The following Hole (can’t recall if it was a temp #5 or #6) had no Hole Yardage information to gauge distance. Recommendation: Add better Cart Signage and frequency to direct golfers along the paths to the next hole, occasionally you feel lost. The Staff, Marshall, and other Golfers were friendly which made the play enjoyable. Can’t wait to try the Course again when all the renovation are completed.
Indian Hills Golf Club
Played On 07/14/2019Hot, Dry Course, but very Enjoyable
This was my first time to play Indian Hills and it far exceeded my initial expectations (which was a Housing Development Course to sell property). Despite it being 101 temps the only negative was the Course conditions were dry throughout and Tee Boxes needed maintenance. The Layout is fantastic, challenging Drives into an wide-width open fairways. If you can keep in relatively straight you'll have no problems, but out-of-bounds likely will result in a lost ball. I will be back with friends.
Royal Vista Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2019Challenging but under seasonal seeding
I enjoyed my first experience at Royal Vista, but the North Course was closed due to maintenance, so I played South/East courses. My buddy and I was joined by a regular player at this course and he advised to come back in a month, around May 1, when conditions will be more favorable. Nonetheless, the course was challenging with driver and long irons required. Pace of play for 18 was between 3 1/2 - 4 hrs, since many regulars stayed away due to North Course closure. After play the Clunhouse has a large open Pro Shop and separately a large upscale 19th Hole Lounge to relax, eat, drink, and play pool or watch many positioned TV’s. I look forward in returning to play the North/East Course.
Birch Hills Golf Course
Played On 01/27/2019Nice Municipal Par 58 Course
I play here semi regularly and it’s a nice Municipal Par 58 Gem. The course has holes that tend to get backed up 3 groups deep but also eventually spreads out. The pace of play is leisurely since it attracts Recreational Golfers, Friends, and Family members of all age groups. Course conditions are hard surface; both fairways and greens, with very little watering and with rough dirt spots. Only about half the ball cleaners have water otherwise they’re dry. Nonetheless, it’s an enjoyable course and you will find discounts deals on most Golf Apps. My suggestion; invite Grandpa, Mom, & Kids and you’ll fit in.
