Coldwater Golf Club
Played On 03/12/2024Not quite the same as three years ago
It’s been 2-3 years since I have played the course. And I loved this course. This time however it wasn’t the same. It’s a little shoddier, the fairways were good, the greens needed a bit of care. The areas surrounding the fairways was overgrown and trashy. It just seemed overall to not be as well cared for as it once was.

Played On 04/22/2022Very slow Pace of play
This is a favorite course of mine. That said I also have to say that the pace of play is always slow. I know that public courses try to pack as many tee times as they can in a day to make money but ,really, almost 5 hour rounds? That just hurts the soul

Played On 03/16/2022A broken cart and no help
Our cart broke down on the 16th hole. I called the number listed, which is a call center. I was told by the person on the line that she could not get anyone to answer so I was to call back in a few minutes. REALLY! Our group of 3 ended piling our clubs onto one cart and squishing together while one person stood on the back. When we got to the club house and told the pro shop they were apologetic. I was really mad and finally they offered to refund 9 holes. I think they should of offered us another round for another day.
Otherwise the course is a good course, well maintained and a fun play.

Played On 03/15/2022A 5 hour round
Playing at Public courses you expect slower rounds but this past round at Coldwater was terrible. The group in front of us had two very senior seniors And they took forever. Our round hit the 5 hour mark as we came to the 18th tee box.
There were two holes open in front of them.
There really needs to be more interaction by the course managers to assure that this doesn’t happen.
Golf is frustrating enough without having to wait on every hole and again “A 5 Hour round”.
That said, the course is nicely maintained, the staff is friendly and I enjoy playing this course when I am in the area.

Played On 02/16/2020A great course.
This is one of my go to courses when in the Phoenix area. The prices are always reasonable, even in the busy months of February and March. The staff is friendly and helpful. But of course it is about the Course. It’s in great shape, and while it is not the most difficult of courses it still has plenty of challenges to offer golfers of all levels.

Played On 02/10/2019A wonderful course
First I am going to say that I am a lady golfer with a 22 handicap. I really like this course because I can play it and actually have a chance of playing to my handicap and sometimes ever better. There are a couple of challenging holes that I have made my personal goal of mastering and yes they both involve water. Having said that, the course is in amazing conditions, the staff is courteous, there is usually a Ranger riding around to make sure the pace is kept going at a reasonable pace. This course is in my regular rotation when I snowbird here in Scottsdale.

My husband are Snowbirds in AZ. We love to play golf and Coldwater Golf is one of our favorites in the rotation. The staff is always friendly and I love being able to hit a few balls before playing. The course can get quite busy and the pace can get maddeningly slow but the course itself is usually always in great shape. It’s not a super hard course but it is not easy either. This is one of my favorite courses. This year it was the first one we played at when we got here and I got my first Birdie (even before him) of the year on #18. Not easy feat. I will be back often.
