Course is bad shape besides the greens. Fairways need a lot of work… Greens are like an ice rink and the rough is to thick. Almost impossible to find your ball anywhere around the green. Not fun looking for the ball in weeds and clovers. Management needs to step up and turn the course around if they want new customers. Never returning anytime soon or ever

Played legends and the greens are not good, bumpy, rocky, nobody fixes divots. Fairways are ok, not great. No marshall out there to advise that my group got hit into 4 times for no reason. My group was exactly on pace. Nowhere to go cause a group in front of us. If you decide that you ho play golf on a playoff weekend of football, you may think twice before playing . Its not gonna be a quick round starting at noon. Stay home and enjoy the day. Group in back of us was golfing like their hair was on fire. Also sand traps are a mess.. millions of rocks.

Been driving out from LA for years now to golf here and felt like today was the first time it wasnt worth it. I love the layout and spaced out holes but so disappointed in losing balls in the first cut of grass. Not only that you also lose balls that are embedded cause the grass is so soft. You waste so much time looking that it makes the round not fun. We met Greg the GM last rd and he was very courteous, but he needs to advise the maintenance crews to mow down the grass more in the fisrt cut and beyond. Penalizing golfers hitting off the fairway is one thing but making them spend a majority of time looking for balls is ridiculous.

Course is in decent shape.. not sure why the prices have been bumped up… but the biggest mistake this course makes is the starter sending groups down to the 1st teebox while guys are teeing off. Please hold the groups back until they leave the box and get to the fairway. So annoying hearing idiots talk in your back swing and carts noises. The starter should know bwtter

Pace of play back in the day was trash, very surprising that we started on time and the pace was actually good. Got held up on couple holes but overall we had a good time. Always coo to comeback and tuneup the game before hitting a much bigger ballpark.

Course is in great shape! Really enjoyed coming back here. Fairways, greens, sand traps and tee boxes are all in great shape. People knock this place because of the construction but that doesn’t impact the course or the overall look of the course. If you hit from the yellow tees, be aware of 14 and the bees in the tree. My only gripe is that the marshalls place themselves in the eyesights of shots and really distract the golfer. May wanna get out of golfers views. If golfers are doing something wrong i would respect a courtesy check , instead of just dogging my group. Advise and move on… dont just keep appearing on holes and watching. This happened about 5 times throughout the day- kinda annoying. Other than that the course is awesome! Definitely will be back. .

Very surprised to have tee’d off a few minutes after our teetime. Usually a horrible start to the first new 1st teebox now that the 1st tee use to be 17. Pace of play was slow in the beginning but got better after it he back 9.. But my only complaint is the pricing . We oaid $165 from GN . Not sure why the prices have increased since covid. But the course quality hasnt changed. Control of the 1st teebox is key and the starter did just that. But dont allow other groups to roll down to the teebox until the group has tee’d off. Hold groups back.

Primarily this review is about the locals that play this course. Many of the local’s think that they are entitled to dictate the pace of play or treat orher golfers like they dont belong. Ive played this course a 4 times and 3 of the times the entitlement of locals have been negative. They are either rude, attitude is bad or think they can take their time on the course. I played with one of them and lets just say all those reasons were in play. I hadnt even hit my approach shot to the green and the local i was playing with was already driving to the green. Out of towners be aware .

Took 5 hours to play at 7:45 am. Being the 4th group out I expect a 4 hr pace and nothing less. Since covid I have noticed that the average person has taken up golf and its become a more of a date night/ day with your girlfriend. Golf prices have gone way up and some courses dont care whos on the course. When i spend $100-$200 I expect the people on the course to be good level playing and when its a bunch of hackers and couples out to just hangout, its not cool. We requested a marshall on the 10 hole to advise the group in front of us to pick up the pace …. He never came.. Pechanga please take note and send some marshalls out to moniter slow pace. Other than that the course is awesome.

First group off at 7:00 and we got warned on the 7th hole that we were 1 minute behind pace. The group in back of us wasnt even close to us on the 6th hole and was never waiting on us. Not sure why we got the warning from the marshall. First 5 holes were played in fog so maybe you dont send groups out to slow pace of play. You delyed groups a few months ago for frost delay but nit fog? For $240 you absolutely make sure that the first group out isnt behind and IMO 1 minute behind isnt making an impact on the course. Wont be back because of the marshall and $240. Pechanga is a better place to golf, top notch facility and price is set at $150 all the time. Maderas isa $120-$130 at best

Played oak not to long ago , so this review will be part of my past review. I will start by saying the course is in hood shape with the exception of the bunkers… straight trash. Obviously we all hate playing out of the bunkers , but theres nothing like hitting a bunker shot with nice sand in it… and the sound it makes is spectacular. During this last round i pulled my ball out and played from the grass.. bunkers are not good here.. also not a fan of sending every group waiting down to the teebox to wait for the group ahead of you to teeoff… hate galleries making noises and disrupting tee shots… the starter needs to hold each group back like it use to be on the OG hole 1…

The review is based on couple things. I do like the new starting hole which is 17. But leading into the rd, i got a phone call day before the rd to make sure we were still playing… very odd. Couldnt understand why when we were waiting for our teetime and starter sends out a single behind a 2some. Why not have them join up? According to the starter, he was 30 minutes for his teetime so not sure why he sends out a single.. not sure what his name was , but he was filipino and had a bit of an attitude.. asked him why he would send a single and his reply was “ ITS GONNA BE ALRIGHT GUYS”. And finally i guess the internet was down so the pro shop couldn’t cahrge the card right of way, but when we finished our rd, the same filipino starter advised us to go back to the pro shop and make sure they charged our card… Ummm thats not my responsibility as a golfer so the staff and especially the starter need to get their act together. Wont be back sanytime soon

First time playing this course and it didn’t disappoint. Staff, the range and course are all excellent. Pace of play was not good because the group in front of us was very slow. Maybe a marshall could of helped but none to be found. Also never knew what the placement of the flags were positioned. Usually a color coded flag would indicate placement but wasnt aware or told how the pins were assigned. Other than that the course is awesome. Will definitely comeback with no hesitation. We drove from Los Angeles.

Drove down at the crack of dawn to find out there was a frost delay. Was notified via email but was on the road so had no idea. Range jam packed. Restaurant not open to grab snacks/food. Starter rushing groups out to “catch up”. First hole is forgiving so no back up. Once we got to hole 3 it was a standstill.
Can’t control the weather but things could’ve been handled better. Discount? A “sorry” or two? Starter could’ve kept the 10min space between groups to avoid the pile up starting on the 3rd hole. Took 4:20 to finish 16 holes. Not worth the $215 it cost. Sure the regulars love it here. Won’t be back anytime soon, bad taste left

Drove out from los angeles, saw this coure because of the golfholiks- youtube channel. Course did not disappoint. Everything about this spot was top notch. One thing i will say is that paying $200 is a bit much..Journey @ Pechanga is $150 and IMO that course is if not just as good.. Other than that definitely will re visit in the future.

Tee’d off at 7:20 and was behind a group of idiots that wasnt out there to play golf. Guys were dressed for a Rave instead of golf. One guy was wearing a flannel , t shirt, jordan bball shoes- not cleats and MAGA hat. Never seen that attire at a golf galaxy or Dicks. Second, same group of idiots didnt even have their own clubs... i notcied they were sharing clubs all round.. 3rd... the head pro im assuming saw all this after they finished the 9th and did nothing about it. All tee boxes were chewed up, fairways were ok but overall experience was trash. Hope the staff really works on the course after punching the greens, gonna keep this course out of the rotation for now. Also slow lines checking in and starter rushing people to tee off so mens club can get going.

S Lakes is always a good time. Some fairways are chewed up so be aware. Number 3 and 8 are a bit dicey. Greens are good along with tee boxes. Slow greens at 6:30 in the morning and stayed that way thru out the rd.. usually pick up speed on the back but they were still slow.. overall its never disappointing here.

This course has seen its better days. I played here back in November 2019 and nothing hasnt changed. The fairways are ridiculously dry and they are so bad that the maintenance crew has painted them green. Not sure why I am paying $75 to play here if the course hasnt been kepted up. The greens are good but fairways and teeboxes need some major work. I will be taking this course out of my rotation. Golfers beware of this course. Hope the owner of this course reads this and does something about it!

Always enjoy playing the DOS! We always start at 6:30ish am on Sunday and pace of play is awesome. Staff is friendly, course is always in good shape, nothing bad to say about Dos. I recommend playing early because once the sun comes out, so does the hackers and walkers.

Lets start off by saying that the staff here is friendly! First time coming out here and let me just say that this course is a hidden gem in beaumont. The course has so much character and everything about OV is a blast. Was expecting a mediocre course but everything about OV is awesome! The price is so fair and course conditions are extremely good. Tee boxes are little chewy but other than that this course is wonderful. Will be returning very soon and hopefully will shoot a better score.. course knowledge is key, so dont get disappointed on your first trip out here. #honestandtruthful
