The Legacy
Played On 02/13/2023Course changes in effect
First time playing the Legacy in about two years. First off it was a beautiful afternoon to play golf! I was impressed with the green speed and smoothness as the last time I had played they were a little longer and slower (bent grass). Several of the holes had new cart paths and much of the brush was cut down on many of the holes creating it much more playable. Sand traps had nice, new sand in them and have come a long way from what they were (un-maintained). If you haven’t played this Ray Floyd design in a while, give it a try!
FarmLinks at Pursell Farms
Played On 11/29/2019Excellent course
FarmLinks at Pursell Farms is a fantastic golf course. Played it for the first time last week and it definitely impressed. Some great picturesque downhill par 3s that factor the slope into the yardage that is listed on the tee box. The course is overall very playable with large greens and fairways and I was able to play the entire round without losing a golf ball, which is always a plus. The greens were recently aerated m, which happened two weeks prior to our round, and were still in the process of healing, being late in the year. The course offered a slightly discounted rate because of this. All in all, I would definitely recommend the course if you haven’t played it before. This one is a twice-a-year play for me despite living in Nashville! Thanks!
Franklin Bridge Golf Club
Played On 10/26/2019Trending in the right direction
Played this course for the first time being new to the south from Michigan. I cannot vouch how much better the course is now than it was before, but I have heard it is in better shape than it was before, FBGC wasn't bad for a Tennessee public track. I have played a good number of the Nashville public courses but I liked this one as it is one of the few courses that is close to 7,000 yards, which is hard to come by here. New owner Brooks, seems to have the course heading in the right direction re-routing the nines, cutting down brush on back nine, and adding what looks to be a large water hazard on the back nine, as well as range balls and hot dogs included in green fee. Front nine is kind of tight while back nine opens up quite a bit which was a nice variety. Course was still charging summertime weekend rates ($60-65) in late October, which is kind of bizarre, as the last time I checked, fall began 5 weeks prior. I called on the phone for a tee-time this weekend, and the proshop did not seem to know when fall rates would be going into effect, despite the weatherman forecasting temps in the low 30s for this weekend.
Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing The Legacy.
