It was extremely hot for Orange County on the day we played. You should consider bringing your own water as there was none on the course. Marshal did bring by ice for the cooler during the round. Very fair course. Couple of holes with blind tee shots. Best to pair up with someone familiar with course. Several areas had "beware of rattlesnakes" signs in case you missed your landing areas. Greens a little slow. Good track. Would play again.

This is a good track for the price of the green fee. Helps to play with someone who has played there. A few tricky tee shots that require local knowledge--but fair.
Greens were in fairly good shape.
Held shots coming in and putting fairly true.
Sand traps need work. More dirt than sand.
Course had no drinking water due to COVID.
Load up on ice and water at 1 and 10.

Great day to be on course! Played all 27. Newest 9 yardages didn't pick up on my GPS. Greens were in great shape and clubhouse is amazing and sits up on a hill. All in all, good value for the price.

Starting with the pro shop (Joseph), Tour 18 did not disappoint. Course was wide open and pace of play was perfect. I remembered the last time I played there when the greens were less than desirable. They have fixed this issue in a huge way. Greens rolled fantastic: held shots and rolled true. Relatively fast even though they had recently been top dressed and sanded. Will play again when I have the chance. Do yourself a favor: add Tour 18 to your list of "must plays" in DFW.

Course was in fairly good shape. Greens rolled really true. One temporary green but should be alive in a few weeks.

Was expecting a little better conditions than what we experienced. Understanding that So Cal is in a drought, seemed as though the fairways were awfully dry/cracked due to lack of water. Greens were fantastic! I understand that they will be going through a renovation and we might try it again after that process has been completed.

Absolutely worth getting out of DFW to play. Good layout. Pace of play was fantastic. Here's why: apparently, they run out of golf carts every day. They have to wait for players to finish, then clean, then re-assign for later tee times. Because of this, tee times were pretty sporadic--meaning as soon as you finally got your cart, you headed to the 1st tee. We didn't have the other folks ready who we were paired with so we took off.. We played in 4 hours and had 2 holes open in front and behind us.

As for the actual course, it was very challenging and pleasurable. We were matched up with another traveling couple and that was terrific. Other amenities were very much lacking. No driving range was available due to new construction adjacent to the course. Much like most public courses, the on-course experience was not as pleasurable as our company. People playing loud music behind our group--even after they would pull up on our tee box and had been asked to turn it down--frankly hurt our experience. Usually in a scenario like this you would normally look for a marshal to mitigate. No marshal was seen on the course at any time. This group pushed us all during the very picturesque back nine. They then jumped a hole in front of us, made us then wait on them, and used another twosome until the end of the round. Very disappointing to have such an experience on an otherwise nice day with great playing partners. Moral of the story--get more marshals or alert all golfers that they are embarking on a public course with the notion that not all golfers are as courteous as they should be....

If you haven't yet played the Rawls Course--do it!
On a 65 degree day with no wind, I was able to play by myself and finish in 3 hours.
Course was much more defenseless without the customary winds.
Great way to spend an afternoon in Lubbock!
