I was brought out to this course while visiting Grand Rapids for a wedding. A member brought myself and a few others to the course on one of the hottest weekends of the year saying it would be cooler than others since it is close to the lake, which was true.

I really liked this course as it was very well manicured and incredibly unique. However, as a longer hitter, good lord was this ever the tightest course I've imaginable! Ha! I laugh because I remember enjoying the course a lot, but just getting Mutombo'd on every hole because you often have less than 15 yards at times driver height with how dense the trees are right off the fairway. If you want a true challenge, check this place out. I thoroughly enjoyed the round and all of the par 3's, they were pretty sweet holes. All in all, the course is a great experience, but be prepared to get knocked around a bit and just enjoy the beating. Will return if in the area.

ERCC is always a challenge. Typically windy, many shorter approach shots that are very tough despite close yardage due to the turtle-back greens. No green is very large, which makes you really focus on the short game. Very fun course, always a good time, good challenge and pretty good value.

This course is very similar feel to The Ponds in St. Francis minus houses on the fairways! Great value, hardly anybody ever out here. Pretty slick greens too I might add. Fun track to play with buddies and at 6,500 from the tips decently challenging. I will be returning to play many times as long as people want to make the treck with me.

The website does not do whispering pines any justice. This course was in great shape even considering the insane amounts of rain this year. Everything was green and healthy. Greens were in great shape, not lightning fast but fast enough to run a few downhill putts by pretty good. I was very pleased with the layout, tough course for the short yardage. Very undulated and challenging. Over all it was a great experience and most definitely will return. 4/5 stars.
