60* on Feb 4 led me to South Riding since my course was closed. The course is player friendly, generous fairways and nice greens for a winter round. The tees and fairways are showing winter wear as divots are prominent everywhere, either reflecting inconsiderate players or failure of healing in winter months.
Playing as a single made round seem slow but that was anticipated and Pandora kept me entertained

The cost was really a bargain so overall no complaints. I think most players will score better than their handicap

I played a spur of the moment round in 2 1/4 hours. The course is very playable. Greens were in good condition
Par 3s are challenging
Views of Lake Manassas are a bonus
Par 5s are fairly easy

A quality low country course that rarely uses lateral water hazards to defend par. We played the course in about 2 hours and that certainly made the round more enjoyable. There are a couple of forced carries to island like landing areas but well within the capabilities of most golfers. Torrential rains earlier in the week left the course "wet" and traps packed
