So close to a hidden gem

Wow, so close to being a real hidden gem in my view.
Played this course for the first time today (July 13, 2015).
First of all, we played as a twosome with a scheduled 10:00am tee-off. We were able to start about 9:45 and were off the course by 12:30. Less than 3 hours. There was almost nobody else on the course.
The tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good condition. Even the rough was fairly easy to get out of. The only issue we had was that we found the greens to be pretty hard and VERY fast. It may have simply been our hack level skill, but the struggles we had on the greens were much worse than normal.
There was no on course beverage cart that we saw. I don't know if that was more a factor of how few golfers there were on the course or if they just don't have one.
All in all... we will definitely be back. The only thing that stops me from giving this place 4 stars were the hardness of the greens. If they were a little softer, this would easily be a 4 star course.

Don't bother

I have layer this course a number of times over a number of years.
I continue to go back because I like the layout of the course. It has some good challenging holes throughout.
The biggest issue is the lack of maintenance. The tee boxes and fairways are like rock. Very hard pack. No irrigation at this course.
The greens are burnt.
As I said above, I have played this course a number of times over a number of years. I was hoping that if I caught it early enough in the season the conditions wouldn't be so bad because the course wouldn't have had a time to dry out yet. I was wrong.
The sad thing is... I would gladly pay another $20-25 per round to play this course IF it were properly maintained.
Even the driving range is hard a rock, uneven and no maintenance. You either have to hit off hard packed mud or hit like you are playing out of the rough.
Honestly, don't waste your time or money. You will not enjoy the round.

Always fun

Played here on Sunday July 14, 2013. Haven't played this course in about 6 years, yet it remains one of my favourites.
First thing you need to know about this course is that there is almost no such thing as a level lie. This is a very hilly course with some fantastic views.
New green on hole 14 that has only been open for about 3 weeks. This green was not in as good a shape as the others but it will get there I'm sure.
When the conditions are like it is now, which is well watered, this is a fun and challenging course to play. When it dries out, it is nowhere near as much fun to play. The reason for the new green on 14 is that they enlarged their reservoir from 1 million gallons to 5 million gallons. Now they should have better irrigation all the time.
