Moody Gardens Golf Course
Played On 05/24/2020Every course should be paspalum grass.
Course is always in immaculate condition. Superintendent is omnipresent, friendly and accessible. Greens are like artificial turf and the wind is lije the supt... omnipresent. Great place to watch the sunrise too.

Wilderness Golf Course

Nice course. Greens and fairways had more imperfections than ive seen here before. Cruised through front 9 no problem, but players were obviously being allowed to go off the back and somewhat randomly playing holes so back nine took an hour longer and marshal did nothing but take receipts and allow the lack of order.

Paspalum greens were unique and awesome. Fairways and rough were nice and well maintained. Tough course, but great condition for July (or anytime).
Golf course comment fauls to recognize the POOR staff rating and assumes enjoyment of the round. Because the staff was rude, unhelpful and oblivious to customer relations, the round was less than enjoyable. The course is nice, but it takes more than that to enjoy a round. Also BRING BUG SPRAY. MOSQUITOES ARE PROBLEM. But nice turf

Although the fariways are not pristine, I suspect they are akin to those on Euro links courses. If you do not place your tee shot properly, you can be left with some awkward and difficult lies. Greens were in good shape and running a little slow.
Overall, its a fun course that can be quite difficult for the higher handicappers. I am an 11 hc, played the course twice. first round was 90+, second round was 78. for what its worth to ya
