Burlingame Country Club
Played On 08/13/2022The beauty will distract you
Private and fiercely protected by its members, this course is beautiful, challenging, and worthy! The fairways are groomed to perfection without a weed in sight. Greens are tricky. Slow on some holes, fast on others with tricky pin placements. Settling naturally into the mountains, fairways have to be hit. Don’t count on running the ball down the sloped sides. High thick grass grabs stray balls so I suggest playing fairways as you see them and not cutting those tempting corners. Mountain views, panoramic vistas, waterfalls, trout streams, this course has so much to enjoy along with a challenging round of golf.

The best time of year to play! Azaleas were all around and in full bloom. The wide fairways made for a fun round of golf. The challenge comes from the length of the holes. Electric carts are clean and run smoothly. Greens are tight, fast, and contoured. The edge is cut very close so you can expect anything rolling to far will be off the green and down a hill.
You’ll enjoy this course!
Arrowhead Pointe At Lake Richard B. Russell
Played On 04/18/2019Golf Pass Rocks!
I joined Golf Pass in 2019 and receive a free round of golf each month. Some friends asked me to join them at Arrowhead so I decided to use it. While I was happy to get a free round of golf, this course is worth full-price! The views from the back nine are breath taking! Water doesn't really come into play from the reds, so I enjoyed the beauty without feeling intimidated.
The course design is good and does provide a nice challenge. There are a ton of weeds on the tee boxes and a lot of the greens. But the course is well groomed. I will be back!
Country Club of Gwinnett
Played On 09/12/2018This course has great features
Beginning on hole 1, you've got to plan your target. A long drive will get you into trouble and a short shot will ruin any chance of hitting a GIR. Most of the course will keep you on your toes playing target golf. Very rewarding when you get it right. Leave the driver in the bag and make friends with your neglected clubs. 3-Wood may be a best friend here!
Savannah Country Club
Played On 06/05/2018No gators?
Great course for ladies and a surprising little gem! An impromptu trip to Savannah with golf clubs and GolfNow led me to this course. The greens had been aerated so the rates were reduced. This course is nice and flat with a few water hazards. No dynamic landscape and or alligators (I was hoping to see one in the south) but the morning temps were nice, fairways well cared for, sandtraps well sanded, and greens (other that aeration) in great condition. I think the clubhouse is going through a remodel or ownership change? The proshop has NOTHING for women, not even souvenir items. No towels in the carts or on the course. We were snubbed for using GolfNow (if course doesn't want our money then don't allow GolfNow). But here is the truth, if it weren't for GolfNow we wouldn't have known about the course and they wouldn't have gotten $200 in green fess. So tell the staff to "Smile, be nice, and provide all the amenities and courtesy you would to members!" Member or Guest, it's my experience that ALL golfers appreciate the courses and any opportunity to play.
After a round of golf we had lunch in the clubhouse. Food was good and staff very friendly. A great place to spend some time in the AC after a round of golf (even if we did ride in carts).
