Terrible Staff. Don't know if it's because it's a City owned course, but they could not care if u come or don't. What course has a cart return by 6pm policy? This one. Are you kidding me? Nice course though and I'll be back, but that cart policy is absurd.
Pine Lakes Golf Club

Look, I know there are horrendous reviews, particularly relating to the greens. While valid to a point, they are working to get them back and I believe they'll be back sooner than later. Phenomenal layout. I enjoyed it and will be back. I wont pay $42, but of I see a good rate, ill hop on it. Give it a chance, but just know you're not getting Augusta National greens.
LPGA International - Hills Course
Played On 02/24/2019Hands down, best layout in the area, PERIOD
I love this course. It is challenging as heck, but alot of fun to play. It's LPGA Int'l so it's always in good condition (certainly not pristine, but really solid. Consistent). If you're a 20 or higher, you will want to stick with the Jones course as this course will eat you and your golf balls for lunch. Many holes you have to clear alot of swamp land to hit your target and if you miss it, well....you'll never see your ball again. Somehow I managed to finish the round with my original ball, so that's good. I cannot wait to play it again,. In fact, I loved it so much that I just may join. PLAY THIS COURSE if you haven't yet played it. You will not be disappointed. But again, and I stress, if you're a 20 or above and struggle to keep the ball in play, then play the Jones course (which is great too!).

I would rank the actual conditions between 3 and 4. Conditions are pretty good.....and thats about. However, the greens were outdtanding which brought 4 stars on course condition. Greens rolled true and were very very fast. With that said, i gave overall 5 stars because the staff and the hills. You dont see many hills in Florida courses, so this was a treat. Nice elevation changes. As for the staff, everybody from the cart guy, to the beverage cart girl to the restaurant were all amazing and seemed glad that we were there. Excellent restaurant. Will play again very soon.
MetroWest Golf Club
Played On 06/10/2017Great Course for the $$
I was pleasantly SHOCKED to discover elevation on a central Florida course! Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly mountainesque, but it was a nice change. I am sure the course has seen it's better days, but the course is in fair to good condition, and I see it improving. There were a few rough holes but that's expected. I will return in a heartbeat. Great time. Staff not so friendly. Not exactly rude, but just seemed really annoyed that you are there. We loaded our own clubs following the round because nobody was around and it was about noon (good! I saved on the $5 tip! Ha). Great value and a great time. Will most definitely return.
LPGA International - Jones Course
Played On 03/26/2016Consistent as always...
Saw a Hot Deal for $19 and was all over it. As always, the course is in good condition. This course never gets old. My only negative would be the bartender, who I felt was a rude to the gentleman I was with. If she's miserable, then find a new job! But other than that, solid course for the money. I'll be back time and time again.
Tomoka Oaks Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/17/2015Just know what to expect...
Look, if you want a first class course, do NOT come to Tomoka. I have played this course dozens of times. It is what it is. It is a great course to get some swings in practice. The positives are as follows: Incredible layout- this layout is, in my opinion, arguably the greatest layout in the area. The course can play long or short. The small greens are difficult to hold, and with gaping traps staring you in the face on almost every approach, it is challenging. This course has straight away holes, dog legs both right and left. It has short par 3s and long par 3's. It has reachable par 5s in two, but will punish you if you miss (left on 7!!), and also has no chance at hitting in 2 par 5s. and Another positive is the friendly and easy going staff. It is very laid back. (I can bring my own beer and not have to worry about being spotted (although I use discretion)). I see people with jeans and cut off shorts and even tank tops......it's just that kind of course, and I don't think they're in position to turn away any green fees. If the course turns around then obviously, no cutoff shorts and tank tops. Now, the NEGATIVES-....gosh, where do I start? Although the greens have come a long long way, and are actually borderline playable, the rest of the course conditions are DEPLORABLE! When I say DEPLORABLE, I mean DEPLORABLE! And it's such a shame because it is such an amazing layout. Do NOT make this a destination for and your buddies, as you will be disappointed. Do not bring your clients here. If you just want to get some casual golf in, or get bombed and play golf, or just get some swings in, then for the price, you cannot possibly go wrong. Just know what to expect. Again, don't be that poor soul here on vacation and drive one hour or more to play here. Another issue I have is the slow play. Because the low prices, you get alot of beginners. Many beginners haven't a clue about letting faster players thru. So you may be in for a long round if you get behind some inconsiderate self absorbed ignorant newbies. On many occasions I just leapfrog them as I'm not really scoring anyway. I have always said that if I win the lottery that I will sink big bucks into this course and turn it around. It is such a wonderful layout. Hopefully they are able to sink some cash and turn it around. If they do, I will be the first to become a member. And as the course stands, I will probably go play tomorrow; I haven't played in 4 months.
Couldn't agree more with your review...I actually had a pretty good round and enjoyed it..(yes, needed lots of improvements but did love the layout. I felt sad that the clubhouse, tennis courts were so run down too...I wish I knew how it happened.....We loved the big Oaks and imagined at one time it was a great facility. Hope it is someday again. Yes, if someone put some money into this, it would be a great place. The homes surrounding the course were very nice and they probably remember when all was good at this course. If I was paying big bucks, of course I would have been hugely disappointed but I anticipated there was a reason the fees were so cheap. Hope next year it's better, I'd play it again. Wishing all those working hard to make improvements, the best of luck!
Tomoka Oaks Golf & Country Club
Played On 05/25/2015Great Layout
This could be the premier course in the area if it had the budget to properly maintain the conditions.Small greens guarded by well placed traps. Just a great layout. Extremely challenging. But dangit, the conditions of the tees and fairways are just dreadful. The greens, which is the most important, were fair, so I was happy. And you can't go wrong with the price. Great casual course to get some swings in but that's about it....for now. Who knows, maybe someday the cash will be there to fix er up. One can only hope.
Cypress Knoll Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/15/2014Great Value!
Cannot possibly go wrong for the money spent. Greens, although on the slow side, were absolutely perfect condition. Shotmaker's course for sure with a couple long par 4s thrown in there. I'll be back soon.
Thank you dolphinfan923 for your review and feedback of LPGA International. We apologize for your experience in the bar and we hope you will come back and see us again very soon for more great golf!
