I play Elliot on a fairly regular basis, and have played it since it opened almost 50 years ago. This year course maintenance has gone downhill. There are dandelions on the tees, water in the "sand" traps and overgrown areas that need to be mowed. The traps have water and a lot of rocks in them. We play no bunkers due to their condition. The good things: friendly staff, good club house, electric carts(big PLUS), great large greens and it is close to home (10 minutes).

Aldeen is fun but challenging. Even for those of us who have been playing it since it opened. It requires patience and understanding of the layout. I know what to expect from certain areas and lies. I don't play it very often anymore because it will test you mentally. The greens especially are tricky and will frustrate even the best players. The new club house will be nice and it is the nicest golf course in town.

I have played Elliott since it opened in the '60's. It is my "home course". I live 2 miles away and can be there in less than 10 minutes.
It is always in great condition. Rich, the Superintendent, takes great care of the course. Big greens, light rough, wide fairways and still a lot of trees. (We have lost a lot of Ash trees due to Emerald Ash Borer) The only problem is the "sand" traps. We call them gravel pits. And they don't drain very well.
Elliot will definitely challenge you and provide a very good experience. The clubhouse is good, personnel friendly and helpful, easy parking and good location.
