a short overall distance course with several pro length par 4's in excess of 450 yards from the blue tees. this is a 27 hole course so there always seems to be a fast way around the course. 3 some finished in under 3:45.

Greens were in excellent shape edge to edge. Fairways still plenty green even in this very hot condition. Water stations ice cold and plenty available. No noteable problems anywhere during this round.
Lots of elevation changes, beautiful views.
Four of us played this course in early April and were pleased at the prices and the conditions, but the greens were still filling in and so we came back in late May and found the course to be in excellent shape with hardly a single fault with any of the greens. We played right after the member guest event was finishing and met some really friendly and receptive folks at the course. There is still some wooded areas that are being burned out and cleared, otherwise this course is a jewel of a deal for the asking price of 10.00 for 18 with a cart. Well worth the drive from out of town.
Hillcrest Golf Course
Played On 04/17/2016Easy layout from the tees
Played this course right after the Sunday tournament and there was along line of people waiting for the return of any carts from the tournament finish. We could not detect a trace of grass on almost all of the greens, maybe in 6 weeks there will be some grass. All the greens had just been dusted with sand so putts were not going as read.

Perfect weather, greens were mint, only bad point was the clumps of recently mowed grass through the greens on a lot of holes. With golfnow discount, only paid 12.00 for 18 with a cart.
Beech Creek Golf Club
Played On 8/04/2013excellent value for the money, 22.00 for 18 holes with cart using web based tickets.
Best greens in the greater Columbia area by far. Smooth and fast and just enough undulations to guarantee no gimme putts. My eagle on the final hole capped off a near record round of golf for me.
Northwoods Golf Course
Played On 7/20/2013Despite a week of steady rains, the course was quite playable and hardly any standing water was observed.
The pin locations seemed to be the legal limit near the edges of the greens maybe to simulate the "Open" experience and on more than one occasion we were humbled and frustrated by the slope and speed of the pin spots. An excellent test of my putting game and well worth the money!
