Best public course in the Greensboro area and it’s not even close

Good Course that is in need of a little TLC. Great Fairways and Greens but the Tee Box’s looked like they haven’t been cared for in weeks. Tons of bunkers but they were in great shape. Good layout and challenging. In my opinion there are just too many other courses in the area that are better.

It was my first time playing it and I think I would enjoy it more next time because it’s tough to play when your unsure of where you should hit it. Tight fairways on the front but opened up more on the back. The greens were great and quicker than other bent grass greens I’ve played. It’s not my favorite spot in Greensboro (Forest Oaks takes that claim) but definitely a really good course

1st time playing here and I will say it is well worth every penny. Course is in perfect condition right now from tee to green and that’s saying something considering how wet it’s been down here lately.

2nd time playing here and the course was ok last year but was in excellent condition last Friday. It’s a ton of fun to play it’s just a little slow getting around it.

Forrest Oaks has to be one of the Best Kept Secrets in N.C. I’m not sure if it’s because it was private for so long or what but you can’t find a PGA level course for their playing price

I had never played here and a friend recommended it. I wish he would’ve recommended something else because this has to be one of the worst courses in the Pinehurst area. The guy in the clubhouse was great but that’s where the positives ended. The tee boxes and cart paths were some of the worst I’ve played. Some holes didn’t even have cart paths on the entire hole. The fairways were average or below average and the greens sounded like sponges when you hit the putt. One green was actually 85% unplayable and of course the pin was located in that 85%. The price to play was great but I guess as the old adage goes you get what you pay for.
