Coweta Club at Arbor Springs Plantation
Played On 06/29/2020Worst course in Coweta County
Staff: Somewhat friendly while checking in for our 1PM tee time; he could have been nicer, as we were the ONLY players at the course that day.
Range: The driving range is covered, which is nice and they have mats to hit off or from the grass. Downside is they give you the bucket of balls in the pro-shop and you have to carry them to your cart/driving range....which aren’t close.
Tee Boxes: Do they even employ a groundskeeper? If so, they need to be replaced. The tee boxes were nothing short of a sand trap; they apparently do not move the tee boxes throughout the week; instead, just pour sand in all the divets and hope grass will grow back. I can’t emphasize this enough...THE ENTIRE TEE BOX WAS SAND.
Course: Again....do they employ a groundskeeper? The fairways hadn’t been cut in days and the first cut of rough in probably weeks. Multiple bare dirt patches on each hole. The course gets 1 star for appearance.
Greens: Definitely the nicest part of the course...and they only get 3 stars. The fringe was just cut the morning we played and it would have been nice if they blew away the clippings instead of allowing them to blow all over the greens. The greens themselves were in great shape; they just hadn’t been cut in about a week.
Glad we only paid $20; would probably not play again. There are FAR better public courses in the surrounding area.
