Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club
Played On 08/01/2019Lovely course in magnificent setting
Played the course with two friends on a lovely warm summer's afternoon. The setting is very beautiful.
The course is well designed and is pretty hilly and quite challenging both physically and golf wise. You might need a buggy if your fitness is not at a decent level.
It's well maintained with lush fairways and greens. My only criticism is that the greens, although smooth and true, were definitely on the slow side.
Clubhouse overlooking first green offers magnificent views especially from the outside tables on a warm clear day.
Staff were friendly / helpful as were fellow golfers.
Good value for money
Thoroughly enjoyable experience - will almost certainly return.
North Inch Golf Club
Played On 07/31/2019Fine course by River Tay.
This a fine parkland golf couse in a beautiful setting on the banks of the river Tay.
It is a public course and is well maintained - greens were excellent. Only real negative was that the sand in some bunkers was in need a good rake.
Relativly short (5185yds off yellow tees), the course has an interesting and fairly challenging layout.
No off course amenities available but it's next to Bells Sports Centre and Black Watch Museum both of which have cafes and parking.
