Fair but only for a hot deal.

There are some reasons for my overall rating as fair, and it's a low fair.
1. Having never played the course before and not taking the time to reasearch it on-line there is an additional 9 hole course (Raceview) with the first tee right beside the clubhouse. The group didn't know any better and started there. Pro shop didn't mention anything and I didn't ask when checking in. They didn't have a problem with the group heading over to the Falcon Ridge course after we realized our mistake.
2. The course is still recovering from a very wet spring, all holes were open with the exception of 17 (par 5). All tee boxes on 17 have been moved forward to about 200 yards from the green. Not sure how much longer the hole will play this way but will probably be opened up in a week or so. Nothin was mentioned on-line or at the course that we noticed about this. Greens are a decent size and in good condition. The course layout changes up from a very forgiving front 9 to for the most part an unforgiving tightish back 9. #18 was the nicest hole in my opinion, decent dog leg right with elevated tee box and green.
3. Advertises 4 tee boxes ranging from 5383 to 6945 yards (red, white, blue, yellow) whites and blues are the same on 9 holes. On applicable fairways the 250,200,150,100 yardage markers were lined down both sides of the fairway which helped for aiming off the tee box and distances were accurate from what I could tell.
4. There was a halfway house after #7 that was closed...on a Saturday. Main club house is a fair distance away by power cart after finishing #9 (over 500 yards). #10 tee box is right beside #9 green and you would have to drive past #2 tee box and the full distance of #1 to get to the clubhouse and then back, so definitely not convenient.
5. Beverage cart was out, passed us 3 times during our round and was very friendly. Didn't go into the clubhouse/restaurant and didn't use the practice area (putting green or range) so no comment.

For this time of year overall I would have felt jipped if I walked on and paid standard green fees or non hot deal on golf now. The hot deal with cart after playing seemed a bit pricy but when the course has fully recoverd later in the season I would recommend the hot deal with cart only. Our group scores were between 83 and 105. I consider myself a fair to tough critic when it comes to reviewing golf courses.
