I play this course a bit. First time out in 2024 and had to stop at 9 holes. The course was in really poor shape. Gopher holes, spotted and sparse fairways, very unkept. Greens were decent but very disappointing.

Love this course! In very good condition! Greens are large but not difficult. If you aren’t straight, bring plenty of balls! Back nine was at a snail’s pace but sometimes that happens.

First time here but really was satisfied with the experience. Fairways wide, immaculate shape, rough was pretty much a no issue. Tons of sand- good shape. Greens a bit slow, might have been punched recently? Just an awesome day!

Not sure if it’s all that hidden, but this is a great course in San Clemente. Fairly spacious fairways, manicured tee boxes and wide greens in great shape.

First time at Brea Creek. Was a single player put with a threesome. Very nice group who had local knowledge. Perfect weather and found this course to be a great 9 hole play and at an amazing price!

I liked the track, but it was fairly ordinary. For some reason I had higher expectations. Ended up playing the Legends course (Champions was closed). Maybe Champions is better? Greens rolled true, fairways decent shape. Lots of gopher/rabbit holes!

I had an 8:15a tee time but upon arrival I was told I had an 8:30am start along with everybody as they were hosting a tournament. Each tee was assigned two foursomes. It started fine but by the fourth hole it was true hit and wait golf and then shortly wait, hit, wait. It really was disappointing to pay a premium price and have expectations turn into frustration. So much so, I was forced to retire by the 12th hole due to my back tightening up. The course is great, but I don’t understand not being offered a rain check or something alternative. I had no choices. I won’t play there again.

I really like this course and the layout. It was not in summer condition, which led to more inconsistencies in the fairways than usual but the greens were decent and it’s always enjoyable. The staff is fantastic.

I didn’t realize course was under construction. Had to play 1 and 2, then 12-18 twice for the 18. So not what I remembered in the past.

Links style golf...if you are accurate it is not very difficult. If you spray the ball be prepared to bring some extra balls! Course employees were wonderful, greens pretty good condition. NO trees....
