Five years have passed since we played at Mountain view GC last time. It looks like everything was up graded. The course condition was great, Rangers were nice and friendly keeping the pace of plays. And nice cozy restaurant was added to the club house. But I think the best part of the course is still the layout. Located on a hill, it gives lots of beautiful yet challenging holes. The course has very different characters from other popular mercer county course such as Mercer Oaks. We will definitely come back again soon.

Played at 3pm tee time at Mercer Oaks East on Sun. The pace of play was so slow that we needed to finish after 9th hole. If you play on weekend afternoon, be aware. Generally there is no ranger to maintain the pace of play.

As a local I have been playing at Spooky Brook for many years. This is one of my favorite Somerset county golf courses. I teed off at 3:20 as twilight. Because of the slow pace of play, we had to finish our play at 13th hole. I understand there is no ranger to keep the pace of play and there might be many beginners due to the relatively easy course layout. However, the party in front of us was extremely slow. They waited to their tee short until party ahead of them holed out on long par 4. Just be aware that you may encounter the similar situation playing here.

I purchased a Certificate to play at Royce Brook East course. When I showed the print out, one of the stuffs told the number was invalid and actually was already used although it was not true. Because they manually keep track of the record, I understand honest mistakes happen sometimes. The problem was the stuff's attitude. It might be a miscommunication because of my English kill.s However, the bottom line is he should not treat customers like a thief . I have been a PDP members for 4 years with them. I recognize many people who work there and most are very friendly and kind. It is unfortunate to see this kind of stuff at a nice private club.
