First time playing this course. Loved the layout! Pin positions were excellent and 5 tee choices made the game fun for everyone. We tee’d off 10 minutes late but still finished in 4 hours, so pace wasn’t an issue on a Sunday morning. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Great real grass practice range and good putting / chipping. The greens were punched 7 days ago, but I won’t dock any points for that, it’s a necessary evil. Can’t wait to play them when they heal. There were maybe two tee boxes that were incredibly firm and or were a bit dusty, but overall we had a great day and we’ll be adding this to my regular foursome schedule.

I can’t believe this place is open. Course is muddy, greens are not even puttable. Cart path is a rocky dirt road and the driving range is uneven, grassless, and impossible to gauge distances. Fairways are basically compact clay dirt with dead grass sparsely on top. The rough is literally impossible to find balls in or play out of, so I hope you hit 100% of your tee shots accurately or expect to kiss your score and balls goodbye due to drops.

I’ve heard a lot about this course and it’s a shame how bad this place is now. Would be better off as a disc golf course at this point honestly. I’m glad I only had time for 9 today - no way would I have made the turn to finish 18.

I can’t stress enough that unless you’re bringing your kids out to have fun and not actually keep score, skip this place and go play any other muni in Austin. You’ll be thankful you did

Love Riverside. Short layout on the front with lots of birdie chances through the course. I’ve played twice in the last week and each round was less than 3h 30m. Greens are in good shape, number 4 could use a little work. Most of the amenities and pro shop are closed due to Covid 19 right now, but they’re very helpful and accommodating.

The one thing I’ll dock a star for on conditions is that this course doesn’t drain very well.

Overall this is a great course and I look forward to many tee times here in the future!
