I can only start to afford to play this course this time of year lol but I fell in love with all three layouts last summer. Practice Areas are all well maintained and staff inside and out are always friendly. Super windy today but still had fun playing despite it.I love the SHARK EXPERIENCE with the bluetooth speakers, this was the first time using it and loved it. And the in cart gps with hole layout and hazards is also great for figuring out layup distances. All in all my favorite course out here in the Tucson area..

First off this course is a little bit of a drive but don't let that be the reason you don't play it. This place was amazing. The staff was super friendly, the facility is to notch.(get there early to get full use of the practice areas). The layouts of these courses are tough but amazing and beautiful. The "shark" experience is very cool (the onboard gps is very very helpful with bunkers and layups). This course is an absolute must play and I think the PGA really messed up when they moved the tour to Scottsdale because this course blows the TPC away. Lots of bunkers, lots of layups and desert carries and very challenging. Will definitely be returning and taking advantage of the summer rates.. Amazing course..

This course is amazing. The layout is challenging but fair and the conditions are above average for summer golf in Tucson. The practice facilities alone are worth the price of the tee time. Staff is always friendly as well. If you get the chance, this is a definite must play.

We played behind a group of the women with to toddlers. To of the women wherein either Jean cut off shorts or gym shorts with tank top tee shirts. And to make it worse they were driving around with to kids under the age of 4 who they proceeded to bring out on every green and let them putt. Absolutely horrible round and definatwly not what we have co e to expect from The Preserve. We ended up skipping a hole to get around them so they decided to skip a hole to get right behind us and have the kids yell ,"hurry up".
Then on the 17hole as we're teeing off the rest of their clan came casually driving up the fairway to pass by to "find the women". I won't be back there for a while after this last round.

Played out here once before and just had to come back. The whole facility is top notch. From check in to the restaurant to the starter and the ranger, all very friendly to unfamiliar faces. Pace of play was incredible, just over three hours though I can't imagine it's like that all the time. The course was in great shape and well markered along with an open feel to the layout. Greens rolled true and were quick. All in all a great course and definitely a must play.

Since the new ownership the course has continued to improve by leaps and bounds each season. The greens were in great shape for this late in the summer as were the fairways. Staff was super friendly throughout. Great course and a great round. Thanks

With all the courses in the Tucson area it's nice to see a good old throw back course. Nothing fancy here, no crazy elevation changes, no target golf full of lay ups, this is an old school narrow fairway golf course. And long too but with four different sets of tees everyone can find one that allows them to enjoy their round. The staff and cart woman are always very nice as were my playing partners. And people will say "lots of older golfers there", like that's a bad thing. One of my playing partners had been golfing longer than I've been alive (and I'm 48) and this course is one of the few out here that that generation feel comfortable playing and have the ability to still throw up some respectable s ores from the forward tees. It is quite a drive for me to get to Haven but so far I haven't been disappointed.

The course is great. It's a hike from my neck of the desert but we'll worth the ride. From the clubhouse people to the starter to the beverage cart attendant everyone is extremely friendly. Pace of play was great and conditions were above average. Have played here three times and each time it has been a great experience. Well worth the trip.

Of the 5 city courses Silverbellisnimber 2 on my list behind Del Urich. It has a nice flow to the holes. It is seriously lacking in yardage markers and the bunkers were pretty much unplayable either due to being full of water or being hard as cement. Some long challenging par 4 holes if you are playing from either of the back two boxes and mid range par threes. All in all Silverbell is always an enjoyable and challenging round of golf.

I starting playing this course when I got some new custom fit irons and have not been disappointed yet. Though the yardage is less than 5000 yards you get to hit all your clubs. The greens are always in very good shape and even at their worse they always seem to run true to the read. There are a couple of tricky greens and depending on the pin placement can be very challenging. When I have been paired up I have always been pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the members and with the staff. Lots of older members and couples but pace of play is always respectable.. My favorite short course in the Tucson area.

The early afternoon pace of play is horrendous but you expect a slower pace that time of day. The thing that drove me crazy were the golfers who were just driving around aimlessly jumping from one empty tee box to an other. Absolutely no regard for the other golfers and no ranger to keep those people in line. Then they would get behind you and act aggravated because you weren't playing fast enough for them. Plus there either needs to be more available water on the course to drink, besides the dirty looking bubblers, or a more visible cart person with beverages. I actually like the layout for a city course and the staff was very friendly. The greens were in decent shape also.

I have played this course a couple of times and have loved it from the get go. Staff is extremely friendly as are most of the members but unfortunately not all though it didn't detract from my round or enjoyment. The fairways are in fantastic shape, as are the greens and both have lots of character. I really love that most of the fairways aren't just long and straight, grip it and ripMot but more of a thinking man's course in my opinion.

Just played San Miguel, midweek and went out as a single and played from the green tees , approx 6600 yards.
The course has a very good layout, lots of curving fairways so just gripping it and ripping it isn't always your best option. The fairways were decent and the greens were not the best but are coming back and despite their look they rolled true to the read and weren't an issue after the first hole and quite a few had some great character with the pin placements and undulations.The staff were very helpful and incredibly friendly. The manager/club pro was very friendly as were the few other golfers I ran across while playing my round. Despite the course still trying to get ba k into peak condition I will definately be returning to play again now that I know the layout and correct shot selections on the holes. All and all a very pleasurable round of golf. I look forward to playing a round with some of the regulars to really learn the ins and outs of some of the holes.

PS. The tee shot on 7 is probably one of the most intimidating shots I have ever made.. Play a round and you'll see what I mean...

Did know what to expect when I booked but was pleasantly surprised. Being the first group to tee off the pace of play was great. All the staff and fellow golfers were super friendly. The course was in pretty good condition the greens were nice and rolled true but not crazy fast. The fairways were full with very few bare spots and the layout was fun with more than a few bending fairways to make for some challenging shots. All in all I would definately play here again despite the 50 minute ride fro. Oro Valley.

This is my second favorite course in Tucson. The greens always seem to roll true and are in decent shape most of the time ( unless you follow the "regulars" who seem to never fix their ball marks). The staff is usually very friendly and the beverage cart ladies are always pleasant and friendly. Have yet to be teamed up with any miserable or unbearable players..All in all a very pleasant experience and a well maintained course.

The staff here was super friendly and knowledgeable and the course was in absolutely fantastic shape but the greens were just stupid fast. They were like putting on a pool table and getting approach shots to stick was next to impossible. I am sure your average scratch player would have no problem but us mid handicappers just found it frustrating, and the hole locations were very unforgiving. That being said, if you like that sort of putting surface then the course was flawless. Just not for my game.

By far the best course in the area. Always in great shape..Always challenging.
