First time

First time over played here Staff very friendly, especially the guy out front. Course recently seeded and wet. Long rough and no roll Played long as a result. Pace was very good even with cart path only. Good group. Would love to play here when the grass is cut and it’s a little drier. Would recommend

First time at Oak Creek

Best scenery in AZ golf. A lot of trees. Good grass. Fast greens. Real rough. The only down side were the hard sand in the traps. Less than four hours. Great experience.

Play at your own risk

The course was not ready for the amount of players they had. Not enough carts

Staff was clearly stressed out.

We were told before we teed off that the toilet by number 12 was backed up.

Now for the bad news
A lot of inexperienced players meant golf balls literally crossing multiple fairways
I only heard four once and when I raised my hands to acknowledge the guy, he started shouting obscenities at us.
Three in front of us starting drinking beer early and through out the round. Not even casual golfers. One guy took off his shoes and was having major difficulty standing.
Then there were the guys that hit into us.
Finally there was a group that were bumping golf carts like they were in NASCAR

All this took four and a half hours on a course that should play under four.

I won’t be back and will tell every golfer I meet.

Spend a few bucks on a marshal! This place was out of control.

Course is tired

I played this course a few years after it opened. It still plays challenging, but needs a refresh.
First impression were the antique rental clubs followed by a range void of practice balls and no attendant. All in all this is just an average public course versus an upscale resort course. Not worth the money

Never again

Highly rated Par 3 course for some holiday golf?
Not exactly. Tricked up greens, high high rough, indifferentbservice and bad burger at the end.
Wait, there’s more. People walked their dog on the course and another person just st out for a walk on the course. The only thong missing was a windmill and a clown. Played on Christmas Eve and Christmas, but never again. The greens were design to penalize you and long rough that would be appropriate for the US Open. Not fun and I was 3 over on the back 9.
Can not recommend and will not be back

Great experience

Great facilities
Good value
Course is in great shape after maintenance.
Only issue was the group behind us kept hitting into us. Given that the round was under 4 hours, this behavior was inexcusable. Wish they had a Marshall on the course

Poor experience

this course is going down hill. The staff is less than attentive from the kid that greets you at the bag drop to the counter person. Since May first, they now charge for range balls. Apparently the local residents of this "resort" community were practicing too much, event though they pay very high HOA fees. There was not starter or announcement for starting times, so we just wondered out to the first tee. The condition of the greens was poor. The traps were like quick sand as there is too much sand and it is raked up the face to ensure that balls don't roll at all. The fairways have a lot of bar spots. So if you like hitting off hard pan, hitting out of poor sand, putting on greens with uneven cups, paying for range balls, enduring an indifferent staff at a course that wants to pretend it is a premium course, this is for you.

Five hours Really?

Starter paired me up with two members earlier than my scheduled time. The tee times were scheduled just eight minutes apart and the course was starting to back up even before we hit our first tee shots. We waited literally for every shot ( tee and fairway). By the 3rd hole my playing partners were already planning their escape after 9. We saw a Marshall once and he seen lackadaisical say everything was on schedule. I would agree if they plan on five hour rounds. On ten I waited to join a twosome that was behind us. Still had to wait on every shot. They finally left after 14 because of slow pace. I joined a group in front of me for one hole. They on 16 there were 3 groups. After four hours and fifteen minutes with three holes to go I called it a day. At cart check in I told the young man that the slow play was terrible. He simply said "If you have a complaint, take it to the pro shop." After this caring attitude display, I did go to the pro shop where I was met by an equally indifferent man. His response was "we do the best we can."

Terrible pace of play, mediocre course conditions and a less than friendly staff. I won't return and will tell anyone I run into to stay away! There are some great courses, with a better staff where you can play in around four hours....not here.

Surprising

I have not played here in some time because the pace of play was soooo slow. But I was surprise to finish this round in just under 4 hours. The fairways were in great shape and greens putted well.
If they can manage to keep the pace of play like this, I will be back

TPC While we're young!

I have played here a couple of times before. Many people want to play here to say they've played #16.
Most TPC courses get a good number of players and things move along. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were advised that the pace would be 4 hours and 15 minutes. 3 hours later after finishing number 2 (my 11th hole of the day) I had had enough. Waiting on every shot ruins a good experience. When I told the guys at the bag stand what was happening, they said I should tell the guys in the pro shop. They apparently hear this alot and aren't getting any response. The only response I received was that I could come back later and finish my round??? or get half my greens fee back. They missed the point entirely. If I had a customer that didn't like their steak would I ask them to finish it later or give them a refund on the uneatened portion? Slow play is inexcusable! Make people tee off from the appropriate tees and encourage them to keep pace. Apparently TPC Scottsdale needs the revenue from tourist more tan local repeat customers. :-(

Slow play really?

I have played a lot of rounds at this corse, but my patience is gone. Slow play no marshals and an indifferent staff.

Enough.
