Great course, perfect conditions, NO RANGERS.
Round took 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Called the clubhouse on the 8th hole. Stated they would address slow play.
Ranger arrived when we were greenside on 18.

First time playing since the name change.
New clubhouse and all that it brings to play are terrific.
Nice bar and restaurant, good pro shop and friendly staff.
The course was not renovated as part of the new clubhouse. Additionally, the course needs some work.
Tee boxes and greens are rough in several cases.
Pace of play was ssssssllllllloooooowwwwww.
Course rangers finally got on the course on the back 9 to pro a 3-some along.
I played on a hot deal which made this acceptable.

The course was in great shape, as always. This despite the fact that there has been very little rain before we played. Greens running true throughout all 18.
The course was very busy but pace was great for a Saturday getting around in 4:10.
What I really like about this course is that you need to be able to play a wide array of shots using all of your clubs. I used every club in my bag to get around. You cannot say that about all courses.

Great value here. Course is well maintained and challenging with several small greens. Tee boxes, greens and bunkers all well maintained. Rough is, as it should be penal, but not overly so.
Staff is friendly and caring of the customers. Sal & Tony's is great place for post round drinks and food.

Have played here before, so I do like the track. However, this was the first time this year.
Greens fees have gone up, but then again, what hasn't? Sadly though, the care in maintaining the course has gone down considerably.
Tee boxes are poorly kept and are weedy. Most greens are damaged from burn out. Flag sticks are in need of replacement and ball washers without water do not serve a purpose.
I was truly saddened by the shape of the course.

When I think about courses that I could play everyday, Deerfield is always in my thoughts.
Course is challenging but fair. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens are all extremely well maintained.
Green speeds are consistent throughout the round. However fast #1 is, the next 17 will roll the same.
Really nice practice facility Driving range, 2 pitching/chipping areas and 2 practice putting greens.
Staff is always friendly, beer is always cold and the food is good!
What more can a golfer wish for!

Greens were in very good condition and rolled true. Good speed as well.
Staff was very friendly, and the onsite food was excellent.

Course needs some upkeep in the fairways and bunkers.
I thought the cost was a little high for the value.

Starts with a great rate to walk on a picture perfect Sunday afternoon in early May. Warmly greeted, as always, by the staff. Whether it is the club house, starter or Bar staff, everyone is always warm and welcoming.
This is a nice track tucked away not far from Lake Michigan. This means that on a good day, you get the benefit of a cooling wind coming in off the lake.
Course was in superb shape. Greens were true and had a consistent speed, somewhere between medium and fast. Fairways, Tee Boxes and hazards all well maintained.
I am a Big Fan!

Nice course. Fairways are narrow and many are densely tree lined. Straight off the tee is a must. If you get into the trees, take your medicine. Staying in the fairway gives ample scoring opportunities. Large receptive greens which rolled true

Weather conditions were perfect and so was the condition of the course. Tee Boxes, Fairways and Greens were all in perfect condition.
Bunkers were all well maintained, although I only found two. The rough was a good height but just penal enough because of thickness. My salute to the groundskeeping crew!

Pace of play was really good.
One of the best courses in the NE Il SE Wis area for post round amenities. A wonderful patio overlooking the 9th and 18th fairways and greens. You get a long view of the course which a fantastic panorama.

Called the course 2.5 hours before my tee time to see how course was playing after a night of heavy rain.
Rain relented and we kept our tee time.
Course played great!
Fairways were not overly impacted by rain, and you got some bounce and roll.
Greens ran true and quick.
Rough was, well rough!
Staff was uber friendly, bar was warm and ry with cold beer and hot food.

Not for the faint of heart here at Bittersweet. This is NOT a bomb a gouge course, this is a track that requires thought and all the clubs in your bag. Played my driver 1/3 of the time off the tee. Lots of irons and a F/W wood. Greens are firm and fast with lots of slope. Pin hunting is not always the thing to do.

Nice track that challenges you with length and elevated greens. Almost every green is elevated with the notable exception of #7, 9 and 18.
Many of the greens have false fronts or rolloffs in the back making approach shots challenging.
Greens ran smooth and quick.
Course is well maintained and scenic.
Staff is very friendly and the bar is nice with Spotted Cow on tap!

Played on a windy day which increased the challenge, especially on the back 9.
Greens were firm and fast but still held good shots.
Course was in great shape. Rough was hard, but fair.

I found out that the Greens are covered for the winter.
What a difference that makes. Every course should follow this practice. Greens were in fantastic shape. Course was a little soft but my shoes stayed fairly clean.
Staff here is always warm and welcoming.
Great afternoon to sit on the deck and enjoy the 19th hole.
This is one of my favorite courses. A good challenge that provides you opportunity to score.

Course was in excellent conditions.
Greens were fast and rolled true.
The course presents the opportunity and need to use all the clubs in your bag. Elevation changes and rolling fairways provide great scoring opportunities.
The course is also very pretty with wetlands sprinkled throughout. The good news is that avoiding the wetlands is not terribly difficult.
The only course item keeping the rating at good is that the bunkers lacked sand.
Off course the bar is very nice with a good selection.
Pro shop has very nice merchandise and the staff both on and off the course are welcoming!

Fairways were in really good shape.
Heavy rains prior week left as few bunkers in less than ideal conditions.
Greens had been aerated and were a mixed bag of very bumpy to little bumps.
Really like the layout of this course,
All in all considering the time of year , pretty darn good.

Hadn't played at AC in about 5 years. I can't tell you if changes have been made, my memory has faded or if my games is that much better. While it remains true that holes 2,3 and 4 require some straight tee shots, after that the course presents many scoring opportunities. The back 9 is visually the far more picturesque as the terrain and lushness of the course makes you feel as if you are playing in a high end country club.

Would like a little more speed to the greens.

First time playing. Went from Players to BAER.
Greens on Player seemed larger, were faster. Baer required better angles to come into the greens.
Both courses were in excellent condition. Fairways well maintained with challenging but not overly penal rough.
Greens rolled true on both courses.
Overall the facility is really well maintained with a staff that is very welcoming.
Looking forward to returning and getting to play Tournament 9.
