Greenwood Country Club
Played On 04/28/2020Excellent course layout and condition!!
Fortunate to have gotten to play this course twice in a week. First day out was very windy on the back nine, but today was pristine weather. The course is challenging in all the right ways with many tee options for various ages and distances. Will definitely have to make future trips out for this excellent play.

Always have enjoyed the challenge and layout of this course. This day play was extremely slow for my standards (5hr round). Though an employee did come around hole 10 to apologize for the slow play. The fairways we're expectedly still growing in for this time of year and the greens we're inconsistent in roll and some had so many weeds it definitely made a difference. Maybe a couple more months and if they started rolling the greens they will be perfect. Definitely give it a try - with set expectations.
Indian River Golf Club
Played On 03/15/2019Challenging and scenic course - needs work.
Indian River is a challenging course that is sprawled out where it takes a min or two in cart in between many holes. Undulatingg greens takes course knowledge on how to approach each pin location. If you only play this course once in a while or don't have a knowledgeable group member your pretty much shooting all of your approach shots blind. Course is in repair from the looks of it. I like to see this course it's best, but it still needs a lot of work. Play it, but don't expect to shoot low - enjoy it for what it is worth.

Fortunate to play on a beautiful Indian Summer day in South Carolina. Excellent course with challenging undulations and unforgiving hazards. Greens for the most part rolled fast and true. Nice scenic holes where there is elevation. Holes are spread out, so probably not a walking course. Be weary for a couple of crumudgeon regulars there, they can be rather outspoken about where you ride your cart, and put unneeded pressure, playing fast behind you. Otherwise, great play for the money! Will definitely visit again, and again!!
Timberlake Country Club
Played On 03/31/2014Lake views, challenging, and well maintained. Hidden Gem of Columbia.
I've played this course over the last 6 years and it has definitely come of age and has evolved with new management. The conditions for early spring are great, fast greens, well cut fairways and overall well maintained. Decent play-time, as the two of us were able to get around in about less than 3.5 hours. Highly recommended.
