Odd course with bad yardage, SHORT, not country club conditions.

Odd course with bad yardage starts on the first tee. Blue yardage says 363 dog leg right. Hit 4 iron which is my 200 yard club at what appears to be a 150 yard marker. Hit the fairway and was left with 75 yards in. Number 2 is more of the same, hit 4 iron on 360 yard hole to be left with 75 yards straight uphill to a green you cannot see. After waiting for 2 groups to play the next hole which is a par 3 that is a decent hole but short 145 from blue tees and you make a u turn to tee right beside your last tee box. Group in front of us then jumped out of turn to play ahead of the group holding everyone up (no ranger). We stayed in our spot because the next hole was the #1 handicap hole 438 yard par 4. Hit 3 wood and was left with 120. By this time we had already been on the course for 1 hour and 20 minutes. We skipped the next hole to get around the holdup and played 6 which is a non event, played the 7 a decent par 5 which turned out to be the best hole on the front side, requires good drive, accurate 2nd because it dog legs left and lob wedge third to a decent green. 8th hole looks like a throw in; 100 yards downhill. 9th hole is a odd driving hole trying to figure out where the landing area is. While we were playing they had two guys running machinery by the green to fish balls out of the adjacent pond with no regard to players on 9 or 18. At this point my playing partner was ready to quit, but we stopped at bar and staff was SLOW.
Number 10 is a very short, straight up the hill par 4 that you think you might be on he wrong hole because of the drive to get to it. Landed in the green side bunker that is FILLED with sand. You then play back to back par 3's with the first a very nice downhill hole playing 199 (card). With elevation plays 165- 175. Next par 3 card says 175 uphill, hit 175 club long into clover 3 inches high in the middle of the course. Next hole 331 par 4 that is exaggerated by approx 40 yards (plays 275-290 tops). Next is an Uphill par 4 non- descript hole with partially hidden green! But does play its yardage, next par 3 does not play 160, maybe 140. Last two holes might bring some people back to this course because they are both very nice challenging with the only exception to that point being standing on the 18th tee and figuring out where to place your tee shot, more landing area to the left than appears.
If you are a young player looking to grip and rip, don't play here, you might hurt somebody. If you are a short straight hitter that keeps the ball in play and can get the course at a relatively cheap rate it might be worth the stop. Far better greens at cedarbrook. Far better layout at butlers for the same price.
sorry for the length of this review but too many great reviews for this course can be misleading, which we were.
