Crystal Springs Golf Course
Played On 01/29/2018Good challenging course but stay away when wet
I really like Crystal Springs course. It's challenging but also a joy to play and conquer... except after rains when the course becomes soggy and it becomes a "cart path only" experience.
Walking greatly slows down the pace of play on this long and hilly course.
Nevertheless, there is never a bad day for golf, right?
Peacock Gap Golf Club

Could not believe how the course could allow one group of 6 players (two in carts, 4 walking) to hold everyone up and make the pace of play unbearable, today. C'mon, where are the marshall's when you need them. Where is the consideration of other players who are trying to get their round in at another time.

Course was in good condition for mid summer. Slow play and bottlenecks have been this course's nemesis in the past, but things seem to be improving somewhat. Well done guys

God a great hot-deal on GolfNow and was looking forward to the round, having not played on this course since winter just gone - where a lot of the course was pretty churned up.
Well, this course could do with some loving because its in a very poor state of play. Many of the fairways have large patches of dead brown grass and GUR. The greens are also patchy with many rough and bare edges. The cart paths are unsealed - some super dusty and some mudholes where they have overwatered. The creek which runs alongside many of the very narrow holes is overgrown and makes finding your ball from a slightly mis-shaped shot, very difficult. The ambassador was friendly but the older gentleman at the counter in the pro-shop was curt and unfriendly. The pro-shop is extremely limited in merchandise. I paid $8 from a hot deal and I'm sad to say that's about it's value. Wish I could give it a better review but until this place gets an overhaul or better management, I'll not be visiting very much
Corica Park - The Earl Fry North Course
Played On 11/30/2016BUMPY FAIRWAYS
Good course with three drawbacks. First is the uneven bumpy fairways that send you to the chiropractor when riding a cart. This also includes broken uneven cement cart paths.
Secondly, a lot of five-somes play here which slows pace of play considerable at times. Bad luck if you get stuck behind them
Thirdly, the summer season affects this course greatly with poor watering and smelly mud from dried water catchment area.
Crystal Springs Golf Course

The only time I play this course is when I manage to snag a hot deal, otherwise it's too pricey. You can play on near equivalent courses in the Bay area for a half to a third of the price they charge at Crystal Springs. Having said that, Its a fun and interesting course in a picturesque setting. The greens are in great condition , the carts are fairly new. The club house and facilities are old but ok. Love that they have a ball washer on every hole. Cart paths are all cemented but its a bummer you can't take your cart to the driving range
