Played Colony West - Championship course last year and tried it again after our good experience. Did not disappoint once again.
Check in was fantastic in the pro shop. They were polite and efficient. Starter got us off early. Course in good shape. Greens rolling fast and bunkers were raked and neat. Beverage cart on the course and the restaurant was open. Will be back again this year and again next year

From check in to playing the course to check out, the experience was average. Check-in is mass chaos with people waiting for carts to go to a number of courses and one person doing the process. Course is in average condition with fairway patches and the bunkers looking like small bombs have hit them. Rake and place if you play here. Layout is good with some challenging holes. After the round head to the bar/restaurant at 5:45 for a cocktail and bite to eat....... nope.......the person holds a second job and has to leave so is closing up, so spend your money elsewhere I guess they are suggesting. May give it another chance and play another of their courses.

Played the Legend course. To drive an hour and a bit to this course, plus pay $100 for the round to find out out no carts allowed on fairway, disappointing. Okay move on, understand save the course after a heavy rain. Pace of play was really slow due to above. Not knowing the layout and no GPS on the cart, a lot of blind shots off of the tee with a patch of gorse and environmental friendly areas 200 yards. Hit driver and you’re penalized.
Pin placements were in areas of slopes and corners. A little tough for the average player which added to slow play. Greens, bunkers and fairways were in good condition. Had a free additional round play same day but could not get on because of amount of play. If you offer it then it should be available. Will come back and give it another shot but not at that price.

Nice course. Layout was good and the difficulty was moderate playing from the blue tees deck. Conditions were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Played with my wife and matched up with two others. Relatively short course but is nicely laid out. Fairways, greens and the majority of bunkers were in good shape. Front nine pace of play was slow. Picked up a bit on the back nine. Staff at bag pickup and drop off were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Pro shop staff were somewhat curt but maybe was due to an issue with another golfer they were dealing with upon our arrival.
Refreshment cart was out and about on the course and that was a plus with the heat.
Overall I would be back but play from the tips.

Nice course. Layout is challenging. Bunkers were in great shape along with the fairways and greens. Checkin and starter persons were fantastic and accommodating to me as I arrived five minutes before my tee time. Hence if it is your first time playing here, be warned the GPS does not take you the course when you use GolfNow address supplied. It takes you to a gated complex two streets east. Value for the money is decent and they had a beverage cart out which was great due to the warm temperature.

I would say the staff person at the bag drop and starter were the hi-lite at this course. Very friendly and happy. The course is public so it gets a lot of wear and tear. They put a single with my wife and I because he missed his tee time and our original twosome was late. No problem. It was third time out and wanted us to help with etiquette and such. Pace of play was very slow. We waited on every shot but it taught our newbie when to hit. Well the late twosome was right behind us and proceeded to hit into us three times, no apologies at anytime..
Bunkers and fairways were in rough shape . People never take the rakes with them so why put them in the carts.
No body repairs their divots or ball marks on the green.
For a 2!20 price of a green fee and a bucket of medium balls was almost $100 dollars for two. Not good value.

Wide open fairways. Fairly short for long ball hitters. Greens were quick and in decent shape. Bunkers were messy so I had to hit from craters on Tyne two occasions when I was in them. Overall course was in good shape. Be better if people would fill their divots after….especially when the carts have the material right there. Majority of par 3s were the exact same yardage so using same iron.
No drivers or fairway woods on the range but nice to have a warm up facility close by.
Staff - pro shop gentlemen at check in was somewhat abrupt but all the others were courteous, polite and very helpful.
Overall I enjoyed my day with three mature gentlemen as playing partners. Not sure if the course is worth the fee to play.

Arrived for check-in 45 minutes ahead of 10:24 tee time. Advised 1 hour frost delay. Understandable for this time of year. Go in to have breakfast. No food other than pre-made sandwiches. Not open until 11.
Off to range. Good facility and lots of range balls available. They approached us and informed us that they are ahead of time so we got off at 11.
Pace of play slow due to sending them off at 7 or 8 minute intervals. Not a problem until you have so called members zooming pass you to get ahead two three groups to further back up play. Starters and marshals let it go.
Cart broke down on 8th hole. Called clubhouse to bring a cart out. Teed off on 9 and walked up carrying a cart bag. Went into speak to Brian in pro shop about what happened to our replacement cart. He was nice and gave us his due to another employee screwing up.
Overall love playing the Abbey once a year in September or early October. The course and area is spectacular. Greens had been aerated earlier that week but still were in good shape.

Have played this course every year now in the fall for the past three years. Brought two foursome this year. From checking in thru to completion of round, it is a excellent experience.
Course was in excellent shape. Upon arrival we were informed that we were behind a USGA Regional qualifier however it did not slow the pace of play. Completed round in just over 4 hours.
Will be back next year, so keep up the great service Ravenwood.

Over 5 hour round because no Marshall out getting people to play at a good pace. Called club house but nobody would answer. Groups were jumping ahead of us and others because of the slow pace.
Heard a huge arguement on the course with swearing and threats . Not good
