White Heron Golf Club
Played On 03/14/2020Fantastic!
We had been members of the old Ridgewood Lakes Golf club before it’s sad demise. SO, SO happy that the new ownership has TOTALLY renovated this wonderful track.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT pay any attention to old reviews as they would be of the old course and owners. This place is FANTASTIC! I suspect it will eventually compete in being one of the top places you can play in Central Florida.
Mindbreaker/Heartbreaker at Silver Lakes
Played On 04/25/2017Enjoyed
We started our RTJ Trail adventure here at Silver Lake. Other than the weather being a bit cold (and a little drizzle), we thoroughly enjoyed it. As is always the case, the first time you play a course, you need to learn the little details. The greens are very sloping...not many flat spots, but rolled consistent and true. Took some getting used to. Also, if you happen to "just miss" a green, chances are you will be rolling down a collection area another 30'. Will definitely be back for another shot at this BEAUTIFUL course.
River Hall Country Club
Played On 03/12/2017Worth it
River Hall is a very nice course with great features. Nice driving range and practice area. Course was very forgiving (except for #17) and you could make it somewhat easy playing from 6000+/- or very challenging from 7000+/-. The greens were what I consider perfect! They rolled out beautifully at just the right speed (10 on the day we played...and they even posted the green speeds!) We had just finished playing some high end courses in Bonita Springs and Longboat Key where the greens were TOO fast.
Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone. Just curious why the housing development there seems to have come to a standstill???
Sunday River Golf Club
Played On 08/29/2016Beautiful Mountain Course
I would have loved to see this course being built. Expertly carved out of mountains of Maine with beautiful views, well laid out holes with plenty of challenges. It was very windy when we played, so our scores were not what we expected, but the experience was well worth the ride.
