Course got carts from Yamaha & had to return them because they were inoperable. Delayed tee time as a result. Staff is amazing. I never thought I would say this but course needs rain.

Course elevation is low so it’s susceptible to high tide & local rains. They do a good job keeping the course in playable condition. The staff there is knowledgeable & friendly. The layout is challenging. I think it’s a good value for your money.

Greens were much better than they were a couple of weeks ago but still have a ways to go. At least they were rolling true. In all fairness most central Texas courses are reseeding this time of year. First played this course in 1972 with 3 golf clubs. Its come a long way. Still one of my favorites. Hats off to the wonderful staff, Beth Doug and all.

course was in excellent condition. great pace of play and very challenging.

Golfnow usually puts a warning up if a particular course has recently been reseeded or airated. Both were done to this course. In addition, hundreds of ducks and duck stuff were on the greens. and a marshal came by and said there was nothing he could do to speed up play. a twosome was holding up at least 6 groups! this is usually my favorite public golf course in Austin but.....

greens were in excellent shape. fast and ran true. played in mid day and there were a half dozen places that were soaked. unsure if they had sprinkler problems or what. that was my only complaint. its really hard to play shots when there is a mire between you and the green that you must contend with but cant see.

The greens and fairways were some of the best in Central Texas for a public course. Speed of play was excellent. Only complaint was lack of sand in traps & grass growing in the bunkers. This could be partly attributable to 5 days of rain prior. Enjoyed my round!

The staff in the pro shot were slow at checking in. Unable to get any help at the bar/snack window at all The course Marshall & employees on the course were excellent.

They have had a terrible time with the JC greens. I hadnt played out there in over a year and thought they might have fixed it. The adjacent 9 hole course and Kizer have nice greens. Only thing I could think is maybe they are watering the greens with gasoline? maybe they should pave them??????
