The Country Club of South Carolina
Played On 05/24/2020Course has potential, but poorly managed.
Course has a good, semi-challenging layout that offers many different approaches to play most holes. There are an abundance of fairway bunkers, but fairways are large enough to avoid trouble. The day I played followed a couple days of rain that washed out several areas of the course and caused the back nine holes and driving range to be closed at the time of play. The golf course did not give a courtesy email or call to inform anyone with tee times of this. My group and two other groups traveled over an hour to this course to have to play the front twice while being jammed in with those with later tee times once we started the second nine. This caused massive delays in pace of play and a very frustrating round for everyone. Pro shop staff was less than professional for a private country club and the shop itself was lacking in stocked items, including golf balls. We would not have wasted our time traveling here if the course had informed anyone of the conditions. Will not play here again.
We're glad you enjoyed your 5-star experience with us, Caparillo. Please comment or reach out to our team in the golf shop to let us know more about your round! Thanks or choosing @SanteeNational.
