Oaks at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 03/23/2019Play Every Spring Break
Over the years, I have enjoyed the Palm Aire courses, especially The Oaks course, but surely "GOING DOWN HILL", some tees not mowed anymore and weeds in places there never was in past years; sad : (
Faulkwood Shores Golf Course
Played On 06/25/2014The Good and Bad
Good: nice fairways, layout and greens...
Bad: cup positions had not been change in a long time and no sand in the bunkers
The Majestic At Lake Walden - 2nd Nine / 3rd Nine
Played On 9/30/2013Professional Grade!
Bunkers to carry in to greens. Up north look and feel. Can not see other holes, each hole is it's own experience.
Championship at Heather Highlands Golf Club
Played On 9/22/2013Nice Greens
Everything about the course is nice. The highest rated part f the course are the greens, generous size and moderately fast.
Copper Ridge Golf Course
Played On 08/23/2013Professional Layout
1. Professional Layout 2. Undulating large greens, faster, but need to be rolled 3. Large bunkers, but some need more sand and additional attention/raking 4. The back tees - scratch golfers only, but other tees for all handicaps 5. Pretty, up north feel course
Kimberley Oaks Golf Course
Played On 6/7/2013Enjoyable Day!
The greens are nice and the course is straight forward...hit it straight : )
Hawk Meadows at Dama Farms Golf Club
Played On 6/2/2013Lots of high handicappers.
There are lots of high handicappers and when we were making the turn, they were letting golfers out in front of us, off tee 10...bad form.
Bay Valley Hotel & Resort
Played On 5/10/2013nice and enjoyable
A nice golf course and with a strategic layout with tee boxes with varying distances. Never too crowded.
Green Acres Golf Course
Played On 4/19/2013"Do you like doglegs? I do, they make a golfer use his brain!"
Wonderful layout, with average course condition. Only 6300 yards in length, but you better hit the ball straight.
Coyote Preserve Golf Club
Played On 4/15/2013Some really cool holes!
Unique layout with a couple blind-shot holes. Professional golf course.
Championship at Colony West Country Club
Played On 4/3/2013Jackie Gleason would not play here now.
A course of "old glory"...the course has seen better days. If you don't pay over $ 25.00, it's ok - needs better yardage markers - great layout - super freindly staff.
Heron Bay Golf Course
Played On 4/3/2013Pro Course - Greens protected by bunkers
Beautiful fairwarys and excellent, true-running greens, perfectly fast greens for the better player. About 1 million bunkers...you'll need your sand wedge with long carriers in to greens with most greens protected by bunkers.
East at Orangebrook Country Club
Played On 3/31/2013Kinda feel I was cheated - 55% off rate is the normal course price.
Golfnow "55% saving price" at 2:07 tee time is the same price as the 1:50 pm normal twilight rate of $ 22.00 on Easter weekend. Also, greens were not mowed for Sunday play - long grass and slow greens. The overall design is fine.
Goodrich Country Club
Played On 10/28/2012Short, but cute golf course
This is an older, shorter course that provides several blind shots with elevated tees and greens. Overall, a cute, little course for the average player.
Huntmore Golf Club
Played On 10/8/2012A golf course for everyone - professioanl grade
I'm a 3.3 handicap index. Plush/tight fairways with doglegs and carries from the back tees and big/fast greens. 5 tee boxes, choose carefully as the slope rating from the back tees is 140+. The greens are a 12 on the stemp meter. Up north feel as you can not see the other holes. The greens are as fast as Forest Dunes in Roscommon, MI and The Bear at Grand Traverse Resort. A true golf experience with great pricing.
Brookwood Golf Club
Played On 10/04/2012Average value for the money. Nice atmosphere
The course has a cute layout with some left/right doglegs. Greens are of average speed and size.
Forest Dunes Golf Club
Played On 9/01/2012Feel like a Pro.....play this course!
Perfect condition. The front nine is Augusta and the back nine is Pine Valley, hence the name, Forest Dunes. I have played this course many times and always enjoy the experience. Warning, you need to study each putt from all angles. Generous and tight fairways, big, pretty, perfect bunkers with large, very fast greens.
Lakewood Shores Resort - The Gailes Course
Played On 6/25/2010My favorite course! You'll love it or hate it.
A true scottish experience. I swear you hear bag pipes when you walk on the course. Perfect flat tees with "back cut" fairway bunkers...you can not see the bunkers from the tee box...use a yardage book from the pro shop. And, bring a lot of golf balls as you're in the fairwar or heather. If you got what it takes, you'll love this course as I do!!!
