Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club
Played On 06/18/2018Greens slow
Course is in good shape. Greens are very slow. Not what I expect given the price.
Also, checked in at the bag drop and guy asked our tee time and marked us off on the tee sheet. Didn't go to the pro shop as tee time was prepaid. Over-active starter then pulled up as we were teeing off and blurted out "Did you guys pay?" Then lectured us about needing to check in at pro shop.
Woodmont Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/19/2014always a great value
Have played Woodmont several times. It is always in good shape. Greens aren't perfect, but they are always very good and reasonably quick. Tee to green, the course is in great shape right now. Always a great value for the money.
Coweta Club at Arbor Springs Plantation
Played On 10/12/2014Good, but not great
I had heard very good things about this course so I chanced the long drive. The course was good but not great and not worth the hour trip.
Greens were on the slow side and not as true as I expected.
The layout is okay, but extremely hilly. Hard to find a flat lie, even in the fairway.
BridgeMill Athletic Club
Played On 08/31/2014Course is in great shape
Course is in great shape from tee all the way through the green. The greens are fantastic for the money. Healthy, rolling true and fast.
If you can find a deal on GolfNow, this is one of if not the best value for your money.
The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
Played On 08/17/2014Aerification Alert!
Great course. Layout is awesome, especially the marsh holes on the back nine. You are right out in the middle of the marsh. Really cool.
Only complaint (and it's a big one)... the greens were aerified and I didn't know until I got to the course. The course needs to do a better job of posting aerification alerts on the GolfNow website.
There was no icon (an "A!") alerting me to the aerification before I booked my round. I told the course, and their reply was that my tee time reservation email contained an alert. I checked and they were right; however, it was at the very bottom in fine print where no one would read it! And of course, they should alert me BEFORE I book my round, not after.
The course would do nothing for me. They should have given me a partial refund ($10 or so) in my opinion. Would have been the right thing to do in my opinion, especially since I was on vacation so credit toward a future round wouldn't have helped me.
Crystal Falls Golf Club
Played On 07/20/2014Peace and quiet, good course conditions
This is a hidden gem. It's out in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the drive. Very quiet and views of the mountains are great. Course is in very good condition. Greens are running a little on the slow side, but they are smooth. Layout is challenging but fun.
Bear's Best Atlanta
Played On 07/13/2014overcrowded, bunkers in terrible shape
Greens are healthy, but are slow and chewed up from ball marks and spike marks that are not repaired.
Every bunker on the course is in terrible shape. They have completely let them go. Hard, packed sand in every one.
Water coolers were empty on a hot afternoon. Called early in the round to ask that they be refilled, but the problem was not addressed.
I really like this course (great layout), but the issues above made it a bad experience. I would not recommend this course in it's current condition and management.
Heritage Golf Links - Legacy Nine
Played On 03/15/2014Course is over-crowded, greens not in good shape.
Expect a five hour round on a weekend afternoon.
Greens are in bad shape, mostly due to too much play and people not repairing ball marks. Poana is also starting to take over.
Greens have way too much undulation. Almost like playing putt putt on some holes.
Only bright spot - they overseed the fairways so they are very green and in good shape.
