I thought that Mallard Cove had been redone, I went to the old location and discovered I was terribly wrong. Pulled up the course and google sent me into the neighborhood 1/2 a mile short of the course and on he wrong side of the road. I missed my tee time but since I was a single I was easily allowed to play. Didn't get to warm up on the range but it looked like a nice facility. Putting green was close to the speed and feel of the greens. Course design was very open, hardly a tree on the track. Greens were new and hard but manageable. I did shoot my handicap (6) which is nice for the first time seeing the course. I am certain I will play again soon, but if the wind gets over 10mph, this course will be a lot harder.

Honestly the toughest part was getting to the course. I thought they had redone the old Mallard Cove and when I got there it was closed up. Then was sent into the neighborhood before the course entrance. They were flexible about me being late. Course is new but has great potential. If the wind is blowing there’s nothing to stop it out there so it will dry out easily. Greens were firm but rolled well. I will be back, most likely in the spring.

The course was great, weather was windy, pace of play was slow. The minor negatives I can say is the marshal never came around and slow groups didn’t allow faster play to go through. It was my first time and hated to skip holes to allow our group to finish before sunset. I wish Golf Now HD ad not allowed us to book a 1:30pm tee time. Positives were I can’t wait to play again and hope I putt better.
